He got a good thrashing from a number of callers who rang in and put forward some questions under pressure Gurcharan admitted that it was political and other factors also effected his not being selected. It was not all about the turban, some went as far as calling him a traitor to labour and how would he be trusted by the conservatives. Labour although being anti turban have put a Mr. G Singh up as the Proud owner of a glowing red turban as the candidate for labour in eailing & uxbridge. Any one remember seeing his face plastered all over the two boroughs.

Also something gurcharan was proud to say is that he respects all faiths and that a MP will represent all the spectrum of castes and creeds in the borough.
