I am sure in the cities that you live in Guru Sahib have been there as well

This is a really interesting thread. I remember being told that GurSikh communities only reside where there has been darshan of Guruji at some point in time. Maybe thats why so many sikhs live in Wolves, Leicester and other specific places in the UK.

In Bhai Rama Singh's autobiography (I think) it says that it is only because of the presence of Gurdwaras (and hence Gurbani) in towns/cities that protects the entire community (Sikh & NonSikh) from kalyug being at its worst.

Maybe it's my observation only, but the really bad parts of the UK, where there is crime and unemployment, there is no or minimal GurSikh community.
