I listened to the suraj prakash katha by Giani Thakur Singh on amritbani.com today.

The prasang or sakhi today was of Guru Nanak Dev Ji's sacha sauda where he gives all the 20 rupees given to him by his father Kalyaan Chand. The depiction of the scene when Guru Nanak Dev Ji returns home after doing this is so beautifull. When the lines to explain how Kalyan Chand ji slapped Guru Nanak Dev Ji came,the singh who reads out Suraj Prakash started crying and even Giani Thakur Singh ji struggled to control himself.Then Giani Thakur Singh Ji read Suraj Prakash himself for sometime before the singh became normal and started reading again.Even I coulnt control my tears.

Its amazing how much Garibi Guru Nanak Dev Ji had.

Did someone manage to record the katha that Harminder Singh is talking about where Giani Takhur Singh Jee struggled to control himself? I would love to hear that recording. G. Takhur Singh Jee is amazing. ...just so much gyaan..I love listening to that Singh.
