becuz orange is a khalsa colour and red is not allowed

u can say "we shudnt waste our time on tiny silly things" but the colour thing pops up time and time again in rehatnamas, enough to suggest that it was said quite obviously by guru gobind singh himself.

How orange represent shaheedi ?? Red can also represent shaheedi, since blood is red in color?

Oamge does repersent shaeedi. Thats why we wear it. Why? Why is a tree brown? CAUSE IT IS. and red stirs kaam. Bottom line, its maryada, do we know more?

I think people sometimes put too much emphasis on the outside appearance and not enough on the inside rehit. That having been said ... let's look at the practical side of things.

A singh walking down the street with a green chola and red pug ... well

i personally don't see any difference in any color and i still disagree with everyone saying this color is our color and this color should not be avoided.. and so on..

Sikhi is simple and it's us making big deal out of it... whether you wear red daastar, organge daastar, blue daastar or even pink daastar ... IT DOES NOT Matter..

I remember reading a reightnama once which also forbids wearing red and green colors, but could never find it again
