Sangath ji this wrong for the prog to be held in any sort of hall, an excuse to do it there for the amount of sangath attending is lame. Soho rd gurdwara sahib is bigger enough and is known for controling and managing large number of sangath well.

A request to the organisors to reconsider, it's ok for us to stop others from taking mahraj to halls but when we want to do a rainsabi for ekta we can use halls this is not right at all.

Once again nishkam sevak jatha have organised events in park with massive tents of diwans and largar that would be a much better idea than a hall

I STRONGLY AGREE. ORGANISE IT AT THE GURDWARA OR DONT ORGANISE IT AT ALL.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

The venue for the Sanjha Akand Kirtan Smagam is being held at this site that will be established as a

future Sikh Educational Centre.

The Smagam is being organised with the joint support and co-operation of the sikh Jatha's in the UK and abroad,

and not soley by Guru Nanak Nishkam Sewak Jatha.

The venue for the Sanjha Akhand Kirtan Smagam is NOT a hall that has served alcohol or meat previously.

This venue is not community hall or a venue that is open to the general public at present.

This venue is no different to a smagam that has been held in a tent or an open area space.

Pleae look at the images that have been posted and make your own judgement.

Please forgive me if I have offended any one this is not my intention.

The venue will be large enough to cater for all the sangat.

This program is not been done in a hall just for this time. This site has been bought for the purpose of events like this and a probably a future school. The site is under going many refurbishments to be ready for this particular occassion.

And from the last post it looks like there hasn't been any meat or alcohol served there previously...

Lets all support this effort to bring the panth under one umbrella!!

Still, the answers to the concerns by sangat have not been addressed.

GNNSJ have spent millions on the Soho Road asthaan which is big enough to cater for thousands of people and which is decorated and built in such a way that Maharaj has been given a great level of comfort and satkaar. So why do they need to use this FUTURE Sikh venue for this smagam?

Question isnt about what it has been used for or what it to be used for. Question is... why build such big Gurdwaras and spend millions on them when you cant even use them for events like this?!

oh and another thing i like to add some people are saying why hold it in a hall its not a hall as people think you go to weddings in, well why do we have smagams programs in tents where Maharaj Ji has been taken why can't we just do these in a gurdwara whats point going in middle of field setting up a tent and god knows whats been happening in these areas........ e.g smoking drinking etc

why do we like to spend loads time in utter negativety why don't we just thank Guru Ji for blessing us with this opportunity to come together and unite and praise the One Creator for blessing us with a sikhi jeevan.......

also as bahji above has said this building hopefuly for the future will be a school this will be a good way in blessing the building and with Maharaj Ji's kirpa the school wil run successfully for your kids our sikh kids out there to study at.....

so please lets not get invovled in useless petty arguments and lets just enjoy the fact Guru Ji is doing kirpa on us.

well im sure looking forward to this program and i know each and everyone of you are as well

Why was this not advertised before that this location will be made as a school and has been bought? Who has purchased it?

This is not being petty, even though no meat and alcohol has been survied it is still a hall, we by pass this others will use this as an excuse to do the same, this can not be one rule for us and another for others.

If the location is going to be a school show us proof and just wait till it has been made then organise programes there, just how slough has successfully done.

As for diwans in tents this sort of organisation takes months and years of preperation and is done with full satka for mahraj and is fully advertised to the public and everyone has different seva roles.

Bham has so many gudwara with parking and on many big events the sangath has been managed.

If not please try to relocate e.g. wolves or southall, slough

But any hall regardless should not go ahead as we have big enough gudwara and with the problems with halls this is sure to make more issues
