Waheguroo ji ka khalsa, waheguroo Ji Ki Fateh

Only if we could have put the same effort in talking about the Gurus lives. Theres so many stories that we don't even know about. Hey I know lets talk about the guru, who is perfect. That way we cant go wrong.

^^ If you wish to start a new topic to highlight saakhis from the lives of our Guru Sahibs then please do so; I for one look forward to it as I am sure so do many others.

Also I would just like to note there is no difference between God and His Beautiful Saints

Thank you

A benti in your charan khalsa jee, you are correct we should be putting up sakhis about our guru sahib, however the word PAMPING is soooooo INCORRECT here, and is actually quite offenseive, who are we to pamp our gurus, rather pathetic, however i agree we should make more of an effort to put up sakhis on maharaj jee. . .Now if i start then certain individuals will start questioning the sakhis, so why do you my fellow brother inspire us with some sakhis, maybe i will jump on the bandwagon after.

thanks for raising your point

Bhai Hari Singh from Leicester, he is a Singh who is big in weight. He came to do Baba Ji’s darshan and Baba Ji said to him that he is in need of a massage on his legs because of his weight.. Bhai Hari Singh laughed and replied that he will get one done. Bhai Hari Singh sat down and left the conversation at that. A few minutes later Baba Ji got up and said that they will massage his legs for him, Baba Ji had so much compassion. Hari Singh replied that he didn’t want Baba Ji to do the massage, that they shouldn’t, Baba Ji then got Khazan Singh to do Hari Singh’s massage on his legs. Baba Ji always looked after Singh’s, always wanted the best for any Singh, and wanted Singh’s to be fit, healthy and stay in Chardi Kala

First of all 'pamping' is something you do with your mates, its another word for doing puthi ustat i.e. fake ustat of someone. when you say something janke to increase their ego or to take the mickey etc.

Im shocked that you would use that phrase when talking about maharajh. When talking about guru sahib we should learn to use respect with our words. Please refrain from using these kind of phrases.

Secondly to learn about the stories of the guru sahibs, one must listen to katha and gurmat veechar. Personally i think katha is a must, but others disagree and say that it is not needed. Whether katha is spoken or written in a book, it is still katha. and i would encourage everyone to listen and read as much katha, steeks, arth etc as possible to learn about guru sahibs sakhia and the sakhia of guru sahibs wonderful saints.

The last time we met Sant Jagjit Singh harkowal we were all talking about baba takhar singh ji. and sant jagjit singh said that ' baba ji has helped join all of you with maharajh and shown you the love for gurbani, and all of you have love in your hearts for baba ji and for guru sahib, now, fulfill that love'.

(i.e. love gurbani always and completely and never forget gurbani and guru sahib - this was the message of baba ji and if we truely loved him then this is what we should be doing now. :D

Gauree, Fifth Mehla, Gwaarayree:

Night and day, they remain in the Love of the One.

They know that God is always with them.

They make the Name of their Lord and Master their way of life;

they are satisfied and fulfilled with the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan. ||1||

Imbued with the Love of the Lord, their minds and bodies are rejuvenated,

entering the Sanctuary of the Perfect Guru. ||1||Pause||

The Lord's Lotus Feet are the Support of the soul.

They see only the One, and obey His Order.

There is only one trade, and one occupation.

They know no other than the Formless Lord. ||2||

They are free of both pleasure and pain.

They remain unattached, joined to the Lord's Way.

They are seen among all, and yet they are distinct from all.

They focus their meditation on the Supreme Lord God. ||3||

How can I describe the Glories of the Saints?

Their knowledge is unfathomable; their limits cannot be known.

O Supreme Lord God, please shower Your Mercy upon me.

Bless Nanak with the dust of the feet of the Saints. ||4||17||86||"

If our guru can talk about the life of his pyare - why cant we?
