if someone wants to become a doctor, they go and student in a school which specialises in medicine! if someone wants to learn how to drive a car, you go to a experienced driving instructer. it just doesnt make sence y wud any one choose to learn of some samparada that has no historical refrence to have the capacity to teach santhiya, or is specialised in that field. taksaal was set up by Guru mahraaj dem selves. a direct linage of teachings, the only place authorerised in the sikh kaum to teach on how to read bani. there fore, it only makes sence to learn off someone who has gained their vidiya through them! if you want to learn gatka then you go to nihangs, or someone who has learnt from a nihung dal linage.

What about the addition of Bisraams?

Are these added only where they are written? Or do we add them in according to our knowledge of Gurbani?

Because if the former was a case, there would not be any

when you take santhia, the ustaad tells you where the bisraams, jamki, etc are ment to be.

read gurbani paat darpan.

How should we know which Ustaad to learn from since there are so many difference? The reasoning of "find a school with a lineage back to Guru Sahibs times" does not seem adequate for me, since firstly there are many controversies on lineage and on historical examination many are found to be inaccurate. Secondly, how can we be sure that the correct Gyaan has been preserved from generation to generation, since Ustaads are only human, looking through the history of Sikhi although it was started by Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the principles the majority of the "Sikh" population hold today are massively different to what were held in Guru Sahib's time. The Masands themselves were a group started by Guru Sahib, yet they became corrupt and lost their purpose, and were thus removed from the Panth.

in gutkas there are plases where there is bhindi but we dont pronounce, and then there are places where theres is no bhind, but we still pronounce it

in the gutka bindi is only found in banis from Dasam Granth and not for banis from SGGS ji... you will not find any bindi in the whole of SGGS ji.. but at places it is supposed to be read.. for that understanding bani is important..
