I'm a little confused on age gaps in Sikhi? What has Sikhi got to ay about age gaps whenn marriage,

my sisters scenario is that the person whoshe is marrying is 4 years younger than her, should it matter about the age gap?

In theory, the age gap shouldn't matter.

In practise, a smaller age gap means the couple are on similar levels of maturity. A 16 year old boy marrying a 20 year old woman is more likely to be immature than a 20 year old man. This can lead to problems within the marriage.

In terms of Sikhi, I think that as long as both parties understand the nature and meaning of marriage, there is no restriction.

Waheguroo jee ka Khalsa!

Waheguroo jee kee Fateh!

I think that's up to personal choice... there's nothing "wrong" nor nothing "right" about different age gaps (within a reasonable limit, not like decade)... but if both of them are comfortable with an older/younger wife/husband, then that seems to be perfectly fine.

Guest can't think of one

personally i do not think age matters. I am 2 years older than my partner. I think in terms of marriage instead of looking at the 'what' for ex. what is their height, what is their colour, what is their shoe size (lol) we should concentrate more on the "who" they are as a person, as a soul, and when you see someone that way the other factors, such as age, don't really play such a big part.

Some people do believe ideally the man should be older than the woman, but in my personal case I believe my partner has had more life experience than I have in the things he has to go through in life and his circumstances have played a part in moulding him into the mature/loving/caring (the list is endless!) partner, son, brother, uncle, friend he is today.

Nothing(age, religion, caste, color etc.) matters as long as you are happy with it!!!

yea thats what everybody worries about when they get married. "oh hunny as long as I have you and you have me, nothing can stop us in this world" Then the husband finds out she's cheating on him and then has to modify his words a little: "oh you b**ch, thats it, its over!!"
