Ang 992 Gurvaak 4 of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj:

O my eyes, the Lord has infused His Light into you;

do not look upon any other than the Lord.

Do not look upon any other than the Lord;

the Lord alone is worthy of beholding.

This whole world which you see is the image of the Lord;

only the image of the Lord is seen.

By Guru's Grace, I understand, and I see only the One Lord;

there is no one except the Lord.

Says Nanak, these eyes were blind;

but meeting the True Guru, they became all- seeing. ||36||

Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl:

The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is infinite and priceless.

I remember it, as the betel leaf chewer remembers the betel leaf. ||1||Pause||

I have been absorbed in celestial bliss, following the Guru's Teachings;

my body-garment is imbued with the Lord's Love.

I come face to face with my Beloved, by great good fortune;

my Husband Lord never wavers. ||1||

I do not need any image
, or incense, or perfume, or lamps;

through and through, He is blossoming forth, with me, life and limb.

Says Nanak, my Husband Lord has ravished and enjoyed His soul-bride;

my bed has become very beautiful and sublime. ||2||3||89||

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

The actor stages the play,

playing the many characters in different costumes;

but when the play ends, he takes off the costumes,

and then he is one, and only one. ||1||

How many forms and images appeared and disappeared?

Where have they gone? Where did they come from? ||1||Pause||

Countless waves rise up from the water.

Jewels and ornaments of many different forms are fashioned from gold.

I have seen seeds of all kinds being planted

- when the fruit ripens, the seeds appear in the
same form
as the original. ||2||

The one sky is reflected in thousands of water jugs,

but when the jugs are broken, only the sky remains.

Doubt comes from greed, emotional attachment and the corruption of Maya.

Freed from doubt, one realizes the One Lord alone. ||3||

He is imperishable; He will never pass away.

He does not come, and He does not go.

The Perfect Guru has washed away the filth of ego.

Says Nanak, I have obtained the supreme status. ||4||1||

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

I am a sacrifice to the Image of the True Guru.

My inner being is filled with a great thirst, like that of the song-bird for water.

When shall I find the Fruitful Vision of His Darshan?

He is the Master of the masterless, the Cherisher of all.

He is the Lover of the devotees of His Name.

That mortal, whom no one can protect -

You bless him with Your Support, O Lord. ||1||

Support of the unsupported, Saving Grace of the unsaved, Home of the homeless.

Wherever I go in the ten directions, You are there with me.

The only thing I do is sing the Kirtan of Your Praises. ||2||

From Your Oneness, You become tens of thousands,

and from tens of thousands, You become One.

I cannot describe Your state and extent.

You are Infinite - Your value cannot be appraised.

Everything I see is Your play. ||3||

I speak with the Company of the Holy;

I am in love with the Holy people of the Lord.

Servant Nanak has found the Lord through the Guru's Teachings;

please bless me with Your Blessed Vision; O Lord, my mind yearns for it. ||4||1||

Gurbani says to worship the Bramgiani bcos they are jeevan mukht, they with waheguru while living here on earth...................iz this idol worship?

if all u can see is idol worshipping when u see a picture of a great mahapurkh then ther is a problem with YOU and your wayof thinking not the picture and what it represents....................people take away different things when they see a picture, when a gursikh sees a picture of a mahapurkh, they down go throwing flowers or putting mahleh around it..........they contemplate on the jeevan of that mahpurkh and takes away their jeevens and how they lived.................THIS IS NOT IDOL WORSHIP and u are being very rigid in ur views if you percieve every person as being an idol worshipper who seeks inspiration from a picture........................the key word here is "INSPIRATION" and NOT IDOL WORSHIP..............................................

Than Than Brehamgianee Sant Baba Jarnail Singh Jee Khalsa Bhindranwale

Dhaas is of the opinion that their pictures should not only be in every Gurdwara Sahib, but on the walls of every Sikh household.

If one is a narrow-minded "no-such-thing-as-Sant-in-Sikhi" thinking type person, then at the very least this Mahaan soul should be given some respect (perhaps Bhai Sahib/Baba Jee?), just "Jarnail Singh" is foolish. It is doubtful that any one on here has done more Sewa for the Panth than Sant Jee did that gives them the right to say "Jarnail Singh". Let's see anyone say "Jarnail Singh" on a Panthic stage - it would never happen - only on the keyboard.

What Sant Baba Jarnail Singh Jee did in a few years, no one here can even think of doing, perhaps even after millions of lifetimes. Typing a few words on a forum is easy; waking a sleeping nation of lions is unthinkable for Moorakhs like us.

In the end, it does not matter what a few people think, it is now fact that even a mere picture of Sant Jee has shaken the whole of India and the anti-Panthic forces, this in itself shows a glimpse of the Mahaan Kamayee of a Brehamgianee Sant Mahanpurakh.

Brehamgianee Sant Baba Jarnail Singh Jee Khalsa Bhindranwale - an inspiration for countless generations!

i feel most of you are off point

When you look at the teachings and preachings of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale you will understand why the sikhs look up to them ....

i once asked my chacha who knew sant ji personally why we matha teak (bow our heads ) to sants as we were visiting one and my familly bowed and i didnt ... (sant ji knew why i didnt aswell i could tell from his eyes and his smile) and the response i got was that we dont do matha to them but to their knowledge .. the knowledge of bani the bani that we should try to understand and spend our lifetime receiting....

any way my point is that we should be greatful we have someone that is so inspirational to us .... it is okay to say that they would not have wanted us to put the picture up or instead to read their speaches.. this is all good and well but what you dont look at is that there are those that have no access to their speaches where have you seen them published where have you seen them distributed freely or even sold ... secondly are you that highly interlectual that can you show me a interperator who can intepret the words of one person without loosing the meanings and feelings .

A picture gives everyone a diffrent veiw ... and it becomes something they remmember and associate diffrent things eg when you see the M for Mcdonalds do you think of their strap line Mmmmm im loving it .... so would you think of sant jis teachings when you see their picture. also if you dont know some one but keep seeing their picture does that not push you to find out more about them thus suggesting that this would lead people to read into sant ji and their life and teachings this educating them sewlves rather than being sheeps following the media etc.

Also look at your hand you have five fingers these fingers can stand for a number of things and alone they each have their own useful ness and own weaknessess now lose your hand bring them five fingers in ... what do you get a fist a fist which is strong which has so many uses and so little weakness.... now why do you people not allow the sikhs comee together as 1 alone we are strong but together we are even stronger why are there people who go against what the majority want, do you trust the sant smaraj... those who follow sant Jarnail singh Bhindranwale do you not trust Sant Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa if the resolution to install Sant Baba Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale's picture in every Gurdwara throughout the world has been passed then are you that knowledgeable and that wise more so than these holy men that you should go against them ?
