I don't like these connections and know why they are making these connections. However, it doesn't matter who descended from who because in Gurmat, it is all about who follows Gurmat and not where someone came from. These guys are gadaars of the Panth if they are from Guru Nanak's family and don't follow Guru Nanak's teaching. Case closed.

Lets remember the legacy of Dasmesh Pita Sahib Sri Guru Gobind Singh Jee Maharaj. SatGuru Jee Himself stated that His Khalsa is more dearer to Him than His own sons. "Inn puttran ke sees par, vaar diye sutt chaar. Chaar muay to kya huaa, jeevat kaee hajaar". Even in our daily Ardas, we recite "Sahib Jee de Panj Pyaare, Chaar Sahibzaade", implying that we remember the Panj Pyaare even before the Sahibzaade. Such is the significance and importance of Khalsa in the eyes of SatGuru Jee.

Few weeks ago there was a debate about Amitabh Bachhan instigating mobs to kill Sikhs in November 1984. I am not sure how much truth is there in that. But if it is true, its severely unfortunate for these guys, that they are from Gurujee's own lineage yet they have a hand, no matter how minor, in the massacre of Gurujee's Sikhs. Rest Gurujee is fully aware of what the actual truth is, and so lets leave the judging part to Him. We are mere mortals without any credibility.

This person's comment hit the point real hard..

Sorry to say that but Sikhism does not beleive in This type of practice. Guru Nanak Ji himself selected the Bhai Lehna Ji as his successor not his descendants. The sikhs who follow the teachings of Guru are important not the so called descendants.

Guru Nanak = Guru Gobind Singh = Guru Granth Sahib .. where do all these other descendants fit in?

Guru Ji are above these family trees - Guru Gobind Singh Ji (aka Guru Nanak Dev Ji) announced that the KHALSA are the descendants of the Guru, by making himself the father, and Mata Sahib Kaur as the mother.

Let's not get worked up about this issue - instead fight it wth knoweldge of Sikhi.. and once we realise the BASICS of Sikh Philosophy.. well all these anger movements won't help

So what if it is true Guru Nanaks son Bidi Chand was no saint, if it is true Amitabh Bachan should be ashamed, for being what he is and taking part in the 84 riots - Like someone said Guru's Khalsa is more dearer to him than his own family

you mean Sri Chand, Bhai Bidhi Chand was a great warrior in Guru Hargobind Sahib's time
