Unwanted Sites From Ie7

I have recently got a new laptop with Windows Vista and Internet Explorer 7. Every so often, a website randomly opens - debt management, casinos etc which is now driving me insane lol.

I downloaded firefox, but Internet Explorer pages still open! (I could be on here in Firefox and get a new page open in internet explorer).

How do I get rid of the unwanted sites? (If there is an easy way, please say coz I am NOT technical lol)

those are pop ups, You can buy anti pop ups on the net or go to your local tech store. Since you just bought a new computer I also suggest you get an anti-virus and anti spyware.
