The Council of Sikh Gurdwaras in Birmingham marks this religious and festive period every year, holding the largest Vaisakhi Open Air Celebration outside India, attracting over 65,000 people.

The Open Air Celebrations will be held this Sunday 27th April at Handsworth Park. The day will start with 2 Nagar Kirtans:- one from Dashmesh Sikh Temple, Lozells at 10am (stopping at GNNSJ, Guru Ravidas Bhawan before reaching Handsworth park at 12pm) and the other starting from GNG Smethwick at10am (stopping at Baba Deep Singh Gurdwara, Bebe Nanaki Gurdwara and Singh Sabha Gurdwara Somerset Rd before reaching Handsworth Park at 1pm).

Volunteers are stil required to take part in Sewa in the Darbar Sahib, Langar Hall and Shoe area. Anyone wishing to volunteer, please aim to arrive at Handswoth Park at 9.30am. Those wishing to take part in the Nagar Kirtan may arrive later on in the day.
