MUMBAI: Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray on Sunday warned Sikhs in Mumbai against indulging in further violence.

Thackeray was reacting to the violence that occurred in Mumbai on Friday and Saturday after a Sikh protester was gunned down allegedly by a bodyguard of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.

In a strongly-worded statement frontpaged by party organ, Saamna , Thackeray said it was the Sena which had protected Sikhs in Mumbai after the assassination of Indira Gandhi.

Thackeray noted that a large number of Sikhs were seen roaming around the streets of Mulund brandishing swords and attacking innocent people, including women. Train commuters were targeted for no fault of theirs, he said, adding that several women went to the Shiv Sena shakha in Mulund and complained to local leader Prabhakar Shinde about the violence.

However, despite complaints from Shinde, the police failed to take action, he added. Thackeray said the Sikhs should ask their elders about the Delhi riots in case they had forgotten about them. He further pointed out that if the anti-Sikhs riots did not spread to Mumbai in 1984, it was largely because of the Shiv Sena.

He said the then President, Giani Zail Singh, had thanked him for protecting members of his community in Mumbai while those in Delhi had suffered.

Sources in the Sena said party activists would not remain mute spectators if the Sikhs resorted to violence in future.

"The open display of swords, assaults on innocent men and women, forced closure of shops and vandalising of railway property have angered Thackeray and his son Uddhav. We will hit back if the Sikhs repeat their acts. Nobody is justifying the opening of fire by the Dera bodyguard, but why should innocent people and public property in Maharashtra be targeted?" a senior Sena leader asked.

Saad Sangath Ji,

Gurfateh.

He was very peturbed by ' Raaj karre ga Khalsa' slogans. Sadly he did knot know the real meaning.

Please do remeber that he recently demanded that Hindus for Fidayeen Groups.

I emailed a letter to him :

Quote

Balasahib,

I know you are not used to people questioning your diktats, but I must.

You need a crash course in History. Check the following out:

1/ Just a few thousand and in some cases a few hundred marauders used attack Hindu kingdoms and take with them Hindu women as slaves. Sikhs putting their lives at peril used to attack these marauders and free the Hindu women and return them to their families. As humans usually are lazy at 12 noon and deep in slumber at midnight ( in those days people slept got up early) Sikhs used to attack these marauders at these times and just see how do Hindus pay Sikhs back for this favor? They crack 12 o’clock jokes!

2/ Sikh Gurus and their Sikhs stood up as a shield against Muslim oppression of Hindus. Guru Arjun Sahib , Guru Tegh Bahadur, four sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji were martyred as they did not bow to Mughal oppression. I can assure you that had the younger sons of Guru Gobind Singh ji accepted Islam today the History of India would not be the same. A poet has written: Agar hothe na Guru Gobind Singh toh hothi sunnat sabh ki. If you ask me Sis Ganj Sahib Gurudwara and Fategarh Sahib should be places of pilgrimage for Hindus.

3/ Take a trip to Andaman or Kaala Paani as it was known during the British rule. Read the names of the Indians who lost their lives. You’ll find that Sikhs who are just 2% of India ’s population gave the maximum number of sacrifices.

4/ Check out the wars independent India has fought and you’ll again find that Sikhs lead in lives laid down for India or Matra Bhoomi.

You must take a trip to Punjab and then you will understand the true love for the motherland. Where the fear of death is expunged at a young age , where mothers instill bravery and anakh (self respect) in their kids. These brave Kaurs ( Princesses – female Sikhs) when there is carpet firing going on they venture out of their homes to deliver food to the Jawans on the front.

As I see it your knowledge of history is horrendous but you seem to be good in geography, because you seem to roar in Maharashtra and purr elsewhere.

All the best

Bal Thackrey was crying because Sikhs protested violently on their own. Until now only Shiv Sena protests violently in Mumbai, so it was kind of blow to his prestige. Last heard, sikhs and shiv sainks blocked the Pune-Mumbai Expressway together today. :D

Why are you so happy :gg:

Have you accepted the Hindutva agenda or are you one of them or have you failed to understand their hidden agenda ?
