Joining Military?

which would be the ideal one to join for singhs, i heard there is alot of racisim in army and that you cant keep kesh, what about royal marines and RAF?

you CAN keep ur kesh in the army....Im in the Territorial Army and Iv had no problems!!!

The RAF require you to trim you're beard so the helmets and headgear can securely be fitted over you're head...

Not sure about the Royal Marines but joining is tough...Their training is intense...!!

But as long as you can help yourself and help others around you rather than being a burden you'll be respected.

aaages ago i phoned raf, the guy made it pretty clear that the helmet needs to be touching the head directly and that the gas mask doesn't go over a full dhari.

no its ok now for sikhs as its just the pilots who need clean shaven and cut hair because ther helmets are different to the soldier ones, i spoke to them the other day

yeah im not too sure about UK but in the CF(Canadian Forces) you can have a beard its just you have to put a ramal over your head instead of the turban.

and you have to have a clean shaven face if your infantry because the gasmaks are designed to be flush against skin.

there are other parts of the CF that have no restriction though.
