Daily Ajit 16 july

Migrant Labours (Bhaiya from Bihar U.P) beat up and do beadbi of Keshas of an amritdhari boy in Khanna, near Ludhiana, Punjab. Manpreet singh, student in 9th class and son of Punjab State Electricity Board member Rajpal Singh, was taken away forcibly by the labourers into fields and badly beaten up. He said he was beaten by sticks and rods and the attackers cut his hair. They abused him and punched him which caused him to faint. Upon receiving information about the incident his parents took him to civil hospital Khanna.

His father said that a Bihari labourer named Raju, who lived in quarters constructed by the former on rent , was turned out because he refused to pay the rent. Raju then took this step to take revenge with help of his friends.

Native leaders are demanding action.

There is Bhaiyas everywhere in ludhiana, these guys need to be tamed or they will get out of hand.

Punjabis, esp. Sikhs, have made a lot of contributions to society they live in. What have the bhaiyas contributed? except spreading aids and stds. These guys have no knack for life. Although they work like a bull all day.

Punjabis esp sikhs in punjab are well off when it comes to money, punjabis wouldnt be able to contribute that much if they move state to state looking for work. and how you expect bhaiyas to contribute when all the work they ever get is off cleaning something which punjabis should be doing and then they gotta overcome the fact that they get treated nothing less than sh!t by punjabis.

Why don't you guys start a human rights campaign in Punjab and rest of India. or is your freedom movement restricted to getting khalistan only.

Thanks singhavelli for making some intelligent comments right off the bat. Racist stereotyping is what Sikhs should be fighting against, not be the cause.

Migration is a reality, change is a reality. When there is change there may be issues that do need to be addressed. However, there is a difference between addressing that and creating a hatred.

There is a great deal of stereotyping about groups of punjabi migrants to the west… e.g. they feel migrating to the west and being taught in India is a license for easy pickings to lie, cheat, and defraud, with a smile, every person and system that works on the basis of trust. Resolving their disputes via threats and violence is acceptable, wife beating is acceptable etc. etc.

Those punjabi’s can be said to be “everywhere in certain communities” and it can be said “they need to be tamed or will get out of hand”.

Search the web and you will find the above themes conveyed in a stereotypical and racist way, rather than being put in context.

Ahmm...let me put in something.I belong to a Sikh family , which owns a business , and employees 100's of labourers mainly from U.P Bihar and Himachal side. And they are in no way ill-treated , but we do take care in case something evil comes into their minds (thoughts of theft , burglary , hitting etc etc) so that way we have to be strict because we know where these people come from and seeing so much prosperity here , they might get a bit off-track . But other than that , we care them a lot , and even tell them that they shouldn't let their kids work , even when they insist <_<

One thing at a time bro! , Lets first get over with Dera Baba thing , then Khalistan , then maybe labourers too .phew Sikhs have a lot to do! :6

Send these Bhaiyas back to UP, Haryana and Bihar.

Instead take labour force of Sikligar Sikh, Vanjara Sikhs, Lobana Sikhs, Satnami Sikhs...

Bhaiyas are the real cause of drugs and crime in Punjab.

Before there used to be dacoits. But after green revolution, there was no crime anymore. But when these bhaiyas came in late 70s, they took with them all crimes + drugs.

If the good ones are be kept, and criminal bhaiyas sent back, bhaiya population will decrease by 85-90%

Ok, so bring them to Punjab in mass scale and take away the jobs the bhaiyas have taken. These bhaiyas although in the pace (and uncontrolled) pace they are comign in, in a way is "invading" Punjab, and in SOME way needs to be regulated - are a very very hard working people. They do drugs, only to being to do that extra ride for the next Punjabis to get to the cinema. So that they can get that extra ten rupies.

Firstly; do these Sikhs tribes WANT to move to Punjab? If they do, you might want to start makign an effort in getting them to Punjab instead of critisizing those who are coming to Punjab and finding possibilities. Punjabis supermacy lol

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
