Yeah I watched it. Some of the stuff was quite shocking. For example, when the guy got offered a job in a matter of seconds when entering the area. The guy that was making the false documents was a complete fool for not admitting that he'd been caught red handed on camera. Part 2 is on tonight at the same time.

I saw it. I noticed how they specifically mentioned that the illegals are all from Panjab. Not good publicity for Panjabis, especially as so many natives are feeling very upset over immigration right now.

I wonder if those illegals are now fleeing Southall?

Some the sewas in the UK Gurdwaras relies solely on the "faujis" because others wouldn't commit to the sewas. If they are deported, not only will the building trade suffer, but there will be a pile of dirty patilay in the langar hall sinks which no one will clean. I see gangs of "faujis" clean the Gurdwara kitchens everyday where we ("the "resident" UK Sikhs) are too busy enjoying our comfy Gristi jeevans..

We all know the graft that faujis do but what I was wondering is that has the situation become such that Panjabis have totally given up on making a go of living in Panjab and see no future outside of immigration? If so we are deep trouble.

Has it come to this?

To true, but the theres hardly any building trade at the moment for the "faujis" or anybody else.

its quite unfair on the faujis theyve come here to only work and earn a good a living for there family back home, they are not putting a strain on public resources nhs etc theyre actually living in pain rather than go hospital and in a way theyre acting as a deflationary pressure as theyre sending money to india and inflation is going up so theyre only doing good aint they?

Some of the problems that come out of illegal working is that the criminal gangs that control this trade introduce people to other more serious criminal activity. This includes the drugs trade and even the previously unheard crime amongst Sikhs of prostitution . The impact on the Punjab is negative in that the only way to get rich quick is to act illegally bringing down the whole community.
