Call for bandh on July 23

Chandigarh, The Gurmat Sidhant Parcharak Sant Samaj and the Damdami Taksal has called for a bandh in Punjab and Haryana on July 23 demanding the arrest of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. Damdami Taksal members are on dharna from July 9 against the failure of the Central government to proceed against the Dera chief.

Protesters are demanding the sealing of Naam Charcha centres of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, besides initiating an inquiry against him. They stated that the Dera chief should be arrested allegedly for killing three Sikhs, two in Punjab and another in Maharashtra.

Sant Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa, head, Damdami Taksal, said, “It’s shameful on the part of the Centre and the state government to shield the Dera chief and fail to initiate an action against him”.

The Sant Samaj appealed to people of Punjab and Haryana to observe bandh on July 23. Only the trains will be allowed to run.

The Sant Samaj will organise the bhog ceremony of Harmandir Singh killed by Dera followers in Dabwali yesterday. The samaj will hold a meeting in Ludhiana on July 30 to plan further action.

Protest will be intensified against the Dera chief, if the government does not seal Naam Charcha centres. Taksal members claimed that the Centre, Punjab, Haryana and Maharashtra governments wereshielding the Dera chief. They said security officers of the Governor House misbehaved with the Sant Samaj.

Once again typical political b/s type action. Why cant the Samaj organise a million man march to Sirsa ? I am sure all the Samaj Dera can muster together a million people (or at least a few thousand) to march to Sirsa. It would be a show of Khalsa power.

These bands just disrupt life for the avergae pindu who needs to get to a doctors or get ration pani for his children. The bigwigs are rarely influenced by these bands.

Why you so stroppy ?

Have you ever lived in India ? Have you ever been somewhere under a band ?

Please enlighten me as to what it achieves, cite examples where bands have forced governments to do anything meaningful.

I tell you about a million man march to Sirsa which Dhumma and the Samaj could organise and you get all stroppy.

If you want to post using the great name of the DDT then please learn from the likes of Shaheed Baba Jarnail Singh Ji and the mukh sewadar of the DDT prior to him and how they communicated with others. You use the DDT name yet you come across as spitefull and full of krodh.

Where is the criticism of the DDT ? Even Dhumma has admitted his sit down in Chandigarh has been a failure, so why pretend it was a success. He wants Vedanti to quit yet does not offer any solutions as to what Vedanti should be doing.

I think you should shut your trap if you cannot make constructive comments. The million man march to Sirsa was something that would be of more substance than a Chandigarh sit down or a train roko. Now please provide methods of action rather than b/s.

You need a Sikh armed forces, no silly march or morcha is needed, if you want to finish them off do it properly....all Guru Gobind Singh Ji's Sikhs should not be without armour, and I don't mean swords, this is a modern ages I mean rifles, tanks (if they get hold of any) etc etc.

Sikhs need to be careful of the politics thats being played here. Indian intelligence agencies play chanakya nitis where the sikhs are first pinched, then when sikhs react, they are blamed for being violent, terrorist kaum.

All these morchas or marches are not the khalsa way of doing things.

If we look at our recent past, jhujarrooo khadku singhs were able to kill dusths that included a CM, A PM, an army chief. No other freedom movement going around in the world has been able to do something similar.

So all that we need now is Satguru jee's kirpa and some charrdikala naam jappan vale blessed singhs to give sazaa to this dusht. The days of this ram rahim are numbered because
