Damdami Taksal and Sant Samaj leaders destroy Sauda Saadh Sirsa Dera in Khookianwali - Nr Sirsa

Local Singhs from Damdami Taksal and Sant Samaj representitives from the Bathinda district tore down the Dera of Sauda Saadh in Khookianwali 20km from Sirsa.

Singhs led by Sant Baba Baljit Singh Khalsa Dadu Sahib Wale tore down the dera, knocking down walls, doors etc demolishing it flat to the ground in retaliation of the killing of a Sikh yesterday.

The Singhs then set fire to the remaining buildings ensuring the dera was totally razed to the ground.

**Dera followers have vowed revenge of this attack and local Gurdwaras have been put on HIGH ALERT and Singhs have armed themselves inside the Gurdwaras.** Following this a further teams of Singhs from Gurdwara Gurdarshan Parkash Mehta have arrived at the location.

Dera Premi's have also logged a FIR against Sant Baba Baljit Singh Khalsa Dadu Sahib and Jatha Bhindran Mehta after recognising Jatha names on vehicles.

Sant Samaj President and Damdami Taksal Chief Sant Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa after a Sant Samaj meeting in the final Dharna stated to press that the sarkar and authorities were given enough notice and protests demanding action by the state against Dera Sauda. Continuously failing to hear and act upon the demands of the Sikh Nation the Sikh Sangat took action themselves, and if after the Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Chandigarh BAND the state still fail to take action then once again Sikhs will resort to taking action themselves.

Baba Harnam Singh also advised Sri Akal Takhat Sahib Jathedar Giani Joginder Singh Vedanti to resign off his post as Jathedar if he cannot lead the Nation at this time.

Theres alot of politics going on. Indian Congress terrorist party support dera chief wheras akali dal is against such dera cult's which try to blur the lines between hinduism and sikhism.

The dera issue is less about religion and more about regional politics and destorying or eroding away of political aspirations of the Sikhs to rule in their own region. Haryana and himachel pardesh is also punjab but due to events in 1960's the govt created split it into 3 for punjabi hindu's who wanted their language as hindi rather than punjabi. So the dera's are trying to slowly get a foothold into punjab so they can change the demographics of the Sikh majority state.

It is not their fault it is the fault of our leaders who havent sent out missionaries to convey the message to ignorant sikh's and punjabi hindu's that worshipping cult leaders in dera's etc doesnt serve anyone but the cults political leaders and their luxarious lifestyles. Violent reactionism is not the solution its just helping those who have vested interests to see that that region in a mess.
