so it stays firm when you don't knot? I saw boonga without knotting joora in an old nihang documentary, always wondered how it stays still. I do boonga but I knot the joora, stays very firm guroo kirpa naal.

singhstah, ur technically not supposed to knot it, because that creates a farla

and to my knowlegde, ur not a farladhari akali, so u wud have to cover the farla, which is major beadbi

Lol i think he meant tieing a knot when hes making his bunga, i tie a knot aswell, which makes it secure and tight.

Farla to my knowledge is knot tied on the end of the bunga with a 'fan' shaped kapra at the end, which sits on the bunga.

Im probably wrong lol
