For several years SaintSoldiers.Net and NeverForget84.com have been serving the online sangat and educating the masses of the events of Operation Bluestar, 1984 Anti-Sikh Massacres, and Human Rights violations in India. In addition to education we feel it is also important to provide assistance for the families who have lost their loved ones during the Sikh freedom movement and are facing financial hardship.

Project 1: On the 28th of August, 2 Sikh youth, Harchand and Navtej Singh punished Ajit Phoola for his crimes against the Sikh Community.

Who is Ajit Phoola?

Ajit Phoola was a cat of police hierarchy conniving with higher level police officials got killed many innocents. Phoola had grabbed lands, raped women and committed human rights excesses during the period of militancy. The worst in-human act he committed was killings of four innocent women, who were relatives of Shaheed Bhai Balwinder Singh Jatana, a Sikh militant. Phoola along with his goonda brigade raided the house of Jatana at the early hours of 29 August 1991 and burnt alive four women named Jasmer Kaur (chachi), Dawarki Kaur (grandmother), Manpreet Kaur (a 7th grade student) and Harsimranjit Kaur (6 year old handicapped girl). Despite the repeated pleas of Sikh organizations and Human Rights bodies, none government initiated an inquiry against the cold-blooded killings, let alone punishing the perpetrators.

What prompted this action?

Natvej Singh had been after Ajit Phoola for 3 years, each time Navtej Singh heard Phoola's name, his blood began to boil. Whenever Navtej Singh would hear of Ajit Phoola visiting any town or city, Natvej Singh would begin planning an attack. After cases being registered against Navtej Singh by Batala police, he was sent to Ghumtala jail.

On May 13, 2008 Ajit Phoola was also sent to this prison after a case was registered for the murder of 7 family members of Bhai Joga Singh Khanpur. Thus Navtej Singh was granted with the oppurtunity to punish the dusht he had been chasing for the last 3 years. Navtej Singh along with Harchand Singh hatched a plan and registered their names into the pages of Sikh history when on the morning of Thursday, the 28th of August, the 2 Soormay set ablaze Ajit Phoola. A book by Baljit Singh Khalsa, editor of Fatehnama, named "Hindustani Attwaad" was also recovered from the jail. This book mentions many of the Phoola's mideeds and atrocities carried out upon Sikh families, such as that of Shaheed Bhai Balwinder Singh Jattana Babbar.

What can we do to help these Singhs?

Whilst Navtej Singh's father is located in USA, Harchand Singh's family struggles to make ends meet. However, both families should be honoured respectedly, for their sons noble deeds. Donations gathered for this project will be split 50/50 and presented to the families of these 2 heros.

Donations can be made via PayPal at either the SaintSoldiers.net or NeverForget84.com websites

didn't those two get arrested for crimes unrelated to the freedom struggle, unrelated to sikhi at all? so really, their families are having hardship because they're criminals, not because of what they did to phoola, right? i mean, what were their original crimes? are they at all related to their seva to the panth?

please forgive me for asking, but if we have to choose between giving money to those whose hardship is CAUSED by the freedom struggle and those whose hardship is caused by being criminals, shouldn't we support those who suffer for Sikhi first?

When Phoola was already in Jail then why did they kill him...For me they are just murderers...A mere Show offs...

Who are they to kill a person so horribly?

This way Guru Nanak Dev Ji (god) could've killed so many culprits back then but no he helped them cross the bhav sagar...

We are stupid beings, I tell you...

How dare you take away from their contribution to the Panth, shame on all of you. Navtej Singh had been in pursuit of Phoola for 3 years. You can criticize these Soorme the day you work up the courage to do something for the Panth do which extent they both did.

Contribution to the murderers in panth you mean?...

We can dare again... :)

Jasleen Kaur, please keep your dollars to yourself, and likewise with your opinions.

If you bothered to read anything written above, you will know that these 2 youth carried out this task as an act of Panthic revenge.

Nehmat: Ever heard of what goes around comes around? This paapi burned alive Sikh Kids and women, the same happened to him.

We are stupid beings, I tell you...!

Speak for yourself...

force veer... this is a discussion forum. anything posted is open for discussion. you should consider that when posting.

second, i think it's perfectly valid to know the full story of which criminals we want to support with our donations and which we do not. why will no one say what the two were in jail for anyway? did they get purposely captured in order to do this seva? that might be a bit higher ranking in the "who gets my money" list than if they were, say, run of the mill thugs who saw an opportunity for fame and took it.

third, i will not keep my money to myself, as that would be anti-gurmat. rather i will share with those who help the panth in an ongoing manner. killing someone who is already in jail, and no longer a threat to the community is less important in my opinion than aiding those who have been abandoned by government and panth. so i guess the orphans and widows of shaheeds will get my money, rather than some middle class punjabi-american. :)

no one is taking anything away from them. we're asking questions about them. is that acceptable? to learn about someone before opening our wallets?

if i ever have the courage to do something good for the panth, i pray to waheguru that i will have the humility not to turn it into a media circus or a free meal ticket afterwards.
