Ghosts After Amritvela

This morning after amritvela, after i done ardas, i lay in bed, and there was a bag near my bed , i was staring at it, and someone was slowly opening the zip and closing it, i couldn't see anything but it kept happening, i didn't know what to do so i just reached the bag and started shakin it, then i woke up and realised it was a dream although it felt so real.

This kind of thing always happens after amritvela, when i lay in bed. Its always different things. Sometimes its someone on my bed jumping, poking me, pulling my pillow, hitting me. There was one time where i felt alot of pain. i never ever see anything but feel the movement and energy. The dreams seem so real beacause the room is always laid out as it is in reality at the time, like if i adjust something in my room, its adjusted in the dream. That's why it feels so real, but i always end up waking up to realise they are just dreams.

I try my best not to sleep after amritvela but sometimes i'm like let me have a little rest, then before i know it i'm asleep having these nightmares.

The obvious solution is to not to sleep after amritvela ,but sometimes its beyond my control because i'm too tired.

i don't know why i have these repetitive scary dreams that seem so real, is it wrong to sleep after amritvela? i mean have i done something wrong? i don't get it.

Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa! Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

When you finish your Nitnem and do Ardas, tell Maharaj Ji what happens and ask them to do kirpa. Also ask for aagya (permission) to sleep and for protection.

Keep your Simran/Nitnem strong and do many JapJi Sahib Paaths - that's what worked for me.

Don't worry about these things - just maya trying to distract you. It's a sign progress is being made!

Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa! Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

Guest gurus sevak

well i used to get bad dreams and see dark objects in my room. i asked a mahapurak and they told me that before you go bak to sleep do 3 kirtan sohela deh paat with a glass of water in front of you, once the paat is done the water will become amrit, and they told me to give shiteh (small splashes) of the water around my room and bed. after that i never got these dreams and visions again.

hope this helps

It does happen, mostly afer amrit velah, these things occur, dodgy dreams, seeing things, feeling pressure etc... just do benti to maharaj jee, only they can help... Remember maharaj controlls all, and everything is in his will. We have to do bentia to satguru jee. May maharaj jee bless us all.

ive felt someone pressing on me with great force when i use to go to sleep after amritvela but it stopped once i stoped worrying that it would keep happening to me.

Thats the exactly the same thing that happened to me, i've never ever felt that much force on my body before, thats when i couldn't take it, because it hurt so much, the weight was so much and it kept pushing down with huge force.

You guys, are putting me off waking up at amrit vela, i'm still trying to overcome my fears, this is not he kind of stuff i want to be reading. Nevermind, when you read Kirton Sohila, you are protected at night, and aslong as your remember waheguru, enemies cannot touch even your shadow. But sometimes i do forget that, and i get scared.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
