Khalsa Forever you say you do not like that interpretation. have you heard the viakhiya done by giani thakur singh ji on the japji sahib. you can download it from gurmatveechar.com just the viakhiya of ik ounkar is about 2 hours. it does not have just one literal meaning. remember bani is deeper then the oceans deepest regions.

Kam jee, I am sorry if I wasn't clear, but I never said that I don't like that interpretation. I know that it does have a greater meaning, but for the sake of translation, i only wished to ask about this rhyming version as compared to others.

I have seen lots of translations of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib (as I am really poor in Punjabi). BUT, this is the first one that I have seen... that actually rhymes!

Now I know that when I read it, it "feels" much better than the non-translated versions, but is that OK? I mean it is possible that some translation may have gotten lost in the process of making it rhyme.
