BARAHMAHAN:

IKHAS HAR KEH NAAM BIN AGEH LEHEAH KHOH.

Gurbani tells us what the gurus actaully saw and felt themselves .Gurbani is the direct communication the gurus had with the Creator. They have narrated whatever they saw, the true saints narrate whatever they have seen with their own eyes. ”Santan ki sun sachi sakhi soh boleh jo pekhe akhi” , ”permeh

ser keh duareh jo hoeh batiteh so nanak akh sanahaveh”Nanak says whatever he saw at the door of the lord so he narrated. The idea of hell is in every religion. What is hell ?Guru ji have given description of hell at different places in the Gurbani. But most of todays people cannot accept the idea of hell, either they are afraid to accept the truth or are just not bothered as they believe in living merry. As sikh dharma believes that there is life on other planets, as confirmed by scriptures at many places, we can say that hells, are actually planets in these universe on which life or survival is hard, for example instead of raining pure white water, it may rain red water which may be interpreted as blood, or there may be even showers of fire.(There may be lots of volcanoes on certain planet, say planet Hell or planet Zul or whatever and when the lava busts, that is said to be rain of fire.) Well, whatever it may be, human knowledge is limited and thus,it is best that we accept every word of the guru to be True. Those who think that punishment is only to terrify man , lives in a fools’ paradise. There are some gentlemen including sikh scholars who on the basic of human logic and worldly knowledge mislead people that there is nothing like the next world.

Hells, are not imaginary fiction as ordinarily conceived by modern rationalistic minds .The empiricist believes only in experience of sense-contact and feels himself unable to rise above the dictates of the intellect. But it does not mean, that man has reasons to overlook facts beyond his comprehension .We have no right to assert that this globe of earth is the most concrete reality and that others are mere apparitions The stars do not become mere spots with a twinkling light in the sky merely for the reason that we perceive them to be so . If I have not seen America I have no right to deny the existence of such a country. All sikh sampardas like the Dhamdami Taksal,Bhai Mani Singhji’s Sampardah,Nanaksar Sampardah,Udasis sampardah,Nirmaleah Sampardah ,Seva

Panthi Sampardah etc, agrees to the existence of the next world. Modern and western educated have no right to disagree with this sampardahs, which were actually started by gurus themselves. These modern thinkers are actually misleading people by not accepting the word of the guru. They shall suffer in the fires of hell for misinterpreting the word of the guru .Don’t let this fools mislead you. Anyone who wish to understand sikhi should accept the authority of the Sikh Sampardas which was started by the gurus themselves. So now is the time to accept the True word of the guru as thought by Guru to the sampardas.

Satguru says again and again that one have to pay for his accounts.”Jeasay kerah so taesah paveh apeh bij apeh hi thaveh” ”kitah apoh apana apeh hi likha sandiyeah. One have to render account on his deeds. “ Sabna dah dar likha hoeh karni bajoh teray nah koeh”…. . “Dharmrai ki bakhi lijeh jin har ka naam visarah hey”….. “Jaoh jaam aeah kesh gai patkeh tah din kis na besaheah gah, Simran bhajan deahah nahi kini tou mokh choteh khaengah , Dharamrai jaab likhah mangeh kia mukh ley kar jaengah

Satguru mentions many times in the Gurbani about the Jaam Marg .What is Jaam Marg? It means Path of angels of death. It is the path that a person takes after death. According to the sastras(scriptures)it takes one day of devtas (One solar year)to reach the abode of Dharamraja.

God have created man and appointed a judge to settle their account. “Nanak jie upahey kih likh naveh dharam bahhaleah.”….. “Dharamrai hu hukam hai bhey sacha dharam bhichar” Dharmaraj is ordered to do justice only. Those who have accumulated Punya have nothing to fear there. But the sinners have every reason to be scared. The righteous enjoys the trip to Dhramraj's abode, but the sinners suffer a lot”Jaamduth kherehey dhiravana”. The sinners suffer from hunger, thirst and weep throughout the journey “kabir jaam kah dhenga burah hai oah nahi seheyeah jaeah”. Yama's servants continually beat them with whips and weapons.”Rah

bhirey ageh cheleah” The road is small and lined with mud, fire and hot sands. Hail, burning? , Stones and weapons shower down .Azrael feristha hosi aeah tehin Avan jaan nah sujehi bhiri gali tehi……. Sinners have to pass through narrow lanes in which they can neither pass forward nor backward. The narrow lanes have sharp edges like those of the double edge sword “khendey dhar ghali ath bhiri” . “Rah bhiray ageh javenah …… nangah dojak chalaeah tah disheh kerah diravana. In some places there are blistering winds. Parts of the road are dark and bristle with sharp thorns. “ Aankai rathrean vaath duheli raam, paap kemahvendehan terah koee na beli raam.” …..“doeah nah peaeh kurear muhn kaleh dojak phaleah” the sinner souls are tied up and their faces are blackened.

One has to climb mountains and creep through caves. The sinners accordingly, suffer throughout the journey. Yama's servants guard and follow them along, pulling them with nooses tied around their necks.” Vedah hoah dunidarh gal sangal ath chelaheah”…..” Ikh nah gali janjir band rabahney”…..” Jaam dhar bedeh milhay sejaey this apradh gat nahi kaaey”..Weights are attached to the bodies of the sinners so as to make the journey even more difficult. Sinners are pulled from the hair. “Jau jaam aeah kesh ghai pakreh”Blinders are sometimes put on the eyes so that the sinners can't see. They fall into pits and holes.

“Dharam rai jab pakras bhoureh tab jubab keraho” sinner what explanation would you give to the dharamraj .According to the sastras the sinners have to cross the rivers of blood ,fire ,burning oil .The sizes and the depths of these rivers are also given in the scriptures. It is during this journey that sinners become penitent for their past misdeeds. But by then it is too late. “Kusal kedhor kaam ghardab tum nahi suneah dharamrai.” Oh donkey have you not heard about the dharamrai. Many such sufferings are put onto the sinners, these are named just a few.

The righteous have no cause to fear the journey. They travel in great c

omfort. Those who have donated food get delicious meals along the way. Those who have donated water slake their thirst with condensed milk. These who have donated clothes get wonderful clothes to wear. Those who have donated land or houses do not have to walk at all. They travel in vimanas (space vehicles) and are served by apsaras (dancers of heaven). This is also true of those who have donated horses, cows, chariots or foodgrains.

Upon reaching Yama's abode,”Ageh jaamkal likheh levih.” people are taken before Yamaraaj (Angel of death). There are four doors to the abode of yaamraj, depanding on ones karma one chooses one of the doors to enter. After taking account the sinner would be crushed like the sesame is pressed in the oil press “likah lijeh til jeon pirih”. Guru ji says “.”Ageh dojak tepeah suniah huul paveh kuhaha”. One can see the hell with its burning fires from where terrible cries can be heard. Rivers of blood , fire etc are seen ”Papi paap kemavendeh kardeh hai hai nanak jeon mathan medanian teah metheh dharam rai”.. Dharam raja grains them like the graining machine.

The righteous are welcomed by Dharamraj (angel of righteousness) and sent off to enjoy the fruits of their punya. Dharamraj and Yamaraaj is actaully one person. To sinners he appears as Yamaraaj and to the righteous he appears as Dharamraj.

The sinners tremble before yama's stern visage. He threatens them with his scepter (kaladanda)”Jaam kah dhenga”. His voice thunders. The righteous get to see Yama's pleasant appearance, while his terrible appearance is reserved for the sinners. This terrible manifestation has twenty-two arms, bloodshot eyes and fearsome teeth. Chitragupta is Yama's companion and keeps account of all good deeds and sins by everybody ”Chitar gupt terah sang bethae”. He tells the sinners, "You are evil, you have many sins to your credit, where you did the sins, when you did it, all are projected in front of his eyes. Suffer in hell, repentance now will serve no purpose."”Chi

tar gupt jab likhah mangeh tab kaun pardeh tera dhakeh” The sinners are then taken to hell (nerakh).According to the scriptures there are 21 types of hell viz., Raurava, Kumbhipaka, Maharaurava, Tamisra, Andha Tamisra, etc. The sufferings of hell are not eternal. After they have served their sentences in hell, they are born again. They are given chances again and again.

“Karmi karmi hoveh vichar”. After they have completed their punishment they are again given another chance .Depending on their karma one takes birth among the plant kingdom or animal kingdom .There are 8,400,000 species, according to the karma the living entities perpetually take birth on this planetary system or the lower planetary system. It is only after several lives that they get to be born as humans again. But there are different gradations in the human lives as well. Some are born rich, others are born poor. Some are born hale, others are born diseased and malformed. Each birth is determined by the actions of one's earlier lives. The sinners progressively graduate from down to up until human birth, in which he gets another chance to meet the lord, “Gobind milin ki eah teri bereah”if he again fails, he again gets another chance, this goes on until he gets mukti or nirvana.

The Jaam marg is only for sinners, karmis ,etc. This path is not taken by saints or devotees of the lord. “Partap tumahar dekh keh jamdutt chad jaeh.”The angels of death dare not come near the devotes of the true lord.”Nikth nah jaeo duth” Those who have remembered the lord in their lifetime and who utter the lord’s name go to the kingdom of god ”Ant kaal narayan simreh bhagat trilochan they jaan muktah…..” “Sachkandh wesah nirankar”from where there is no return.”Jin thenu dhan kehehah thay jaam nerh nah aeah” …..”Nau terah nirangkar hai nau leyeah narak nah jayeahThe saints and the unalloyed devotes go directly to Baikunth or Sachkhand the eternal abode of the lord.

Many books containing what the dead persons on whom life was revived after medical

treatment or some other reasons have told about the next world can be studied for more information

Wahegurooooooo!!

That's amazing! I guess people who are scared or have fear of death think about what will happen to them. Manmukhs like me, and people who are afraid to die, worry about what will happen to them. Gurmukhs don't have to worry about life after death, they already know Guruji has their hands in his, and will guide you along the way.

One who has a true Guru, or a true teacher/preacher doesn't have to worry about the afterlife, God takes their accounts in his court!! wubb.gif
