There's the right way to do something and the wrong way. Read Guru Ji's teachings on how to fight the right way and maintain your dignity and honour at the same time. I was once the same as you lot and have done some very stupid things in the name of Sikhi about 9 - 11 years ago, when there was a real problem with fanatic Muslims. I wish I knew better. Although even then, shastar were always the last resort, which meant we never had to use them 99% of the time! The last thing you want to do is have the police on your back by posting pictures on the web.

You talk about fights and struggles? Do you know how long it's taken for us to get the right to wear a Dastar and Kirpan without hassle? One wrong move could throw all that down the drain.

Muhammad lived in a society and culture that existed 1400 years ago, and we must not judge what he or others did based on the standards we have set today. It is wrong and foolish to do so. our religion is new so we are at a good spot and things change with time...but even in hinduism marriages of daughters 5-6 years old was common due to the custom of dowry and to avoid scandals during that time.

This is where you are wrong because you obviously don't understand the way that Muslims are meant to view Mohammed. He is someone that Muslims should follow and about whose actions a lot has been written. Muslims are meant to follow him as an example. Your statement trying to place Mohammed within a specific time is probably more insulting to Muslims because it means that his actions are coloured by the times he lived in and therefore it is impossible for a Muslim to follow him as an example.

Are you referring to the three jews tribes that lived in and around medina?? what massacres and what rapes?if you could be specific I would love to correct all the misunderstandings.

FYI these Muslim writers were the hadith writers whose writings have been checked by Muslim authorities and accepted as reliable. Have Sikh authorities accepted the anti-Dasam Granth writings as authentic?

I think the problem is many people commenting in this thread have no first had experience (including myself, being from canada) living alongside aggressive muslims who hate us. Speaking with friends who've lived in muslim areas in the uk, they say that the situation is real bad.

Sikhs are outnumbered; most don’t have the ankh our forefathers, and even previous generation, had; get harassed very often; girls get targeted; our faith gets openly mocked by the young muslims. Even Sant Jagjit Singh ji talks about this problem, and our lack of response.

In my opinion, and the opinion of many others, the time for reconciliation is over. You can’t “talk it out” with people who have an ingrained hate of you. There is no “misunderstanding” that needs clearing up, unlike a lot of problems we face from gorays, the muslims know us, our history, who we are, and they hate us for that. Maybe the older generation of Pakistani muslims had more sense, but this generation is not shy in openly insulting our Guru Sahibaan, targeting our girls, and harassing our youth.

So before people start giving the holier than thou lecture about taking the high road, not resorting to violence, take alook at the ground reality.

No where else , not india, pakistan, us, canada do we have the kind of problem we're facing from muslim (pakistani) youth in the uk.
