maharaj is basically sayin that the mughals came in 1521 and will leave in 1540, but then another force will rise up. I guess its kinda like...this is what happens. Armies of warriors come and fight and then leave and then others come and fight and leave etc, and to basically just accept that this is what happens and continue to do your paath regardless?

Maybe he was talking about the Guru Angad Dev ji, as he became Guru in 1540 didn't he? Or maybe it was a year before, but how can we ever know the true dates.

OK basicaly i just looked up mughal history on the net, basicaly babar dies his son Humayun is the next king, but in 1540 he comes under attack by many afghan claimes to the throne. so guruji basicaly slated babar and told him that even his family will face difficulty in 1540. guruji being anterjami

That phrase is in literal translations only. If you read punjabi translations "disciple of man" is never mentioned.

I don't think it's to be taken literally. It just means that when one regime leaves, another will take its place.

Could be wrong though....
