VAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA, VAHEGURU JI KI FATEH

The first part of the Ardaas is from Chandi Di Vaar from Dasam Granth Sahib, from Ik Onkaar, Sri Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh to Tegh Bahadur Simiriyae, Ghar Nau Nidh Aavae Dhaae.

http://www.sridasam.org/dasam?Action=Page&p=298 - has the translation as well.

The remainder has been compiled by the Panth, and it has changed over time (e.g. after the partition of India, the verses about Gurudwara Nankana Sahib).

is it true that some parts have been included in the ardas to reflect the accounts of 1984?

No. No accounts of 84 as yet. But we will have to put it in.

Yes, 84 shud be remembered in the ardas. Battle of 84 was one of the finest in the history of Khalsa where the coward army of bharat mata was taught a lesson by few jujharoo Khalsa.

Wjkk Wjkf jeo,

Although there is no direct reference to the rememberence of 84 shaheeds in particular but 'Jinna Singha Singhnia ne dharam .... Sikhi kesa Swahsan naal nibahi' section covers the puratan shaheeds and in a way gives respect to anybody who has been true to their faith. I know I'm drawing parallels here and my metaphorical interpretation might be totally wrong so forgive me for this.

Fateh ji!

References of 1984 direclty are not made, but wording such as "Puraatan atae Naveen Shaheedaan" or "Tankaan, Goliaan Naal" Shaheed Kitae pretty much cover the base. The Ardaas from the Dasam Granth Sahib is Gurbani, so it cannot be modified. But, there is room for some personal modification from the Ardaasia Sikh per his/her Sharda and is allowable and accepted.

^ Extending the point pjs has brought up, Why are shaheeds of 84 any more important that shaheeds of the past?

TubeLight, WHY are Puratan Shaheeds more important than the Shaheeds of 84?

Shaheeds ARE Shaheeds POINT FINAL. Wheter Puratan, or of 1970s 80s 90s or the future ones.

I want the 1984 Saka and the following KHalistan movent to be added, because its an important part of Sikh history, just like the 1947 part was added, because our panth was seperated from Nankana Sahib Gurudwaras and others that were left in Pakistan.
