Is nitnem a ritual?

Guru Nanak Dev Jee was against religious rituals and he criticized Muslim and Hindu rituals. As Sikhs we are supposed to do nitnem every day, is that a ritual? You do the same thing every single day..

???

Bhul chuk muaff karni

It#s not my intention to offend anyone.

You eat everyday is that a ritual? You brush your teeth and bathe everyday is that a ritual? You go toilet multiple times during the day, is that a ritual?

The same way the above are a normal part of daily life, so is Nitnem abiyaas for Singhs / Kaurs of the Khalsa Panth.

Maharaj states empty rituals are useless and cant get you to Vaheguru. Remembering Vaheguru can not be a empty ritual.

why do we take showers? to be clean yea?

just as we clean out bodys with water so we are clean

In this way to purify our souls and all the ghandh we have within us, we must do paat everyday to get rid of this:)

and whatever the guru says is true, we shouldnt even think about having a negative feeling towards maharjas bachans.
