I hear the next programme is getting planned as we speak, so if anyone has a problem with the maryada of Dal Panth or Dam Dami Taksal regarding parkash of Sri Guru Dasam Granth Sahib Ji then please do attend the program and any questions you may have will be answered by Rehitvaan Singhs. If the answers still dont satisfy you then please by all means try to take Sri Guru Dasam Granth Sahib Ji off the manji sahib and see what happens.

Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh

hopefully near London this time....

Bedford from what i hear has just built a replica of a Gurdwara in India... alll the marble was imported from india ... Google it...

MK built a big Gurdwara and needs this type of Parcharr they also have the room and has easy access. Also they have alot of land on the side and suggestions for a sikh musem are on hand

Luton junction 11 on M1 .... easy access for all those North and South .....

The above article has failed miserably to understand the essence of the original writeup it is referring to.

Especially when it claims that "The author goes on to argue that the Sikh Rehat Maryada only applies to gurdwaras and not Takhats"

The original article does not argue that Sikh Rehat Maryada only applies to gurdwaras and not Takhats.

Here the original article

http://www.patshahi10.org/index.php?option...h&Itemid=63

Parkash of Sri Dasam Granth is a non-issue and had never been an issue throughout Sikh history (Read John Malcolm's account of maryada of Gurmatta that he witnessed in Amritsar in early 1800s)......Only the detractors would come up with such issues and excuses...

>>>>>>>>>>>>

on the contrary i think the article poses some genuine questions regarding parkash and double hukamnama. questions which remain unaddressed.

the question inevitably arises... if parkash of dasam granth was intended by guru sahib themselves, then why did they not clearly state this in a rehitnama and compile the sri dasam granth themselves. why was compilation left to bhai mani singh ji.

again the authenticity of sri dasam granth is not in question, just the practise of REGULARLY having the granth parkashed alongside sri guru granth sahib which has become prevelant in some groups.

what has raagmala got to do with this? benti to admin not to allow such posts, if you want to advertise your pro ragmala programmes then do it in a seperate thread, rather than risking this thread turning into a ragmala debate which is not allowed by admin anyway.

With Guru Ji's apaar kirpa, hopefully we will soon see the puratan Dal Panth maryada of the amrit sanchaar also being doing with Aad Guru Granth Sahib and Dasam Guru Granth Sahib.

This was the way great Mahapurkh like Baba Gurbachan Singh (Bhinderan) and Baba Ishar Singh (Rara Sahib) received Shahe-Shahaan-Shahs amrit via Dal Panth.

There is no point wasting time debating with people who have clearly already made up their mind or let their 'group' make up their mind for them.

Sri Dasam Guru Granth Sahib will most certainly find it's rightful place again in Guru's darbar and the affect on the youth/panth will speak for it self.

These bigots will just be marginalised spectators watching 'paramatmas kushi and jor'.

Can’t believe how delusive you really are! In reality there’s often never a solution or general consensus amongst religious issues. Unfortunately this issue is just going to grow bigger and deeper.

If i'm not mistaken Sant Gurbachan Singh took amrit in the Jatha of Sant Baba Sundar Singh Ji Bhinderawale?

On another note, sant isher singh ji rara sahib took amrit in the hands of sant attar singh ji reru sahib.

Guys lets not exaggerate or twist truth here in course of doing right parchar. In overtime, little distortion of truth grows and grows, eventually its gets over taken by falsehood.

Sant Ishar Singh Ji Maharaj in terms of vidya, was very traditional, taking learning from the Nirmal kul (directly or indirectly depending on your understanding of parampara).

In terms of parchaar/kirtan style, it was more modern (as per Sant Attar Singh Ji's response to missionery parchar - i.e. vaaja/dhaarna etc).

Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji didn't 'leave' Dal Panth' per se, he just found an amazing teacher and became his student. Being part of Dal doesn't automatically restrict you from learning from outside Dal.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
