Sikh Converts In Germany

Recommended Posts

You'll be fine. Rural parts of most western European countries are pretty cool, people are very much like Punjabis. PM me your e-mail address, I will put you in contact with a Yogi sikh who is from near there.

There a lot of Hippies in those parts and Goths! Anything goes!!

Other thing is, same as UK, you get trouble if you look for it or if you are at stupid places at stupid times i.e. clubs at night time.

I have gone through that phase of my life. I might be 25 but I have really become an EXTREMELY sauuuuuu and darvess person, hahahahahhaha. Even during my manmukhi days, I never enjoyed night clubs, late night disc, etc. I always preferred desi punjabi thekkaaas, hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

I recently travelled to Italy via Germany,

I was told by a Sardar Ji in Rome, that it has become 'Southall' in some parts there.

Rome was great as a tourist place, and I even spotted an Italian Singh. You just need to know some Italian and explain that you are a Vegetarian Sikh to everyone.

Germany was just a stop n go, so I can't say too much about it.

But let's be honest here, wherever the Sikhs go, they should go with High Spirits.

"If we don't see the changes in the world that we desire, let's bring the changes and INspire"

Thats an interesting post. I can get the phd in Italy as well.

Yes, I will be going with high spirits. I dont fear death(sorry for the haumme). But for me dignity is more important than life and if some goraa attacks my faith witth delibrate and cunning intentions( I will spare him if he does it out of misinformation) , I will launch dharam yudh in europe :gatka-singhni:

My own expierince because I am born in Germany and living in Germany is, there aren't so many problems with Sikhi Saroop or to live in Sikhi Saroop even in wearing Banna. There are a lot of ppl like Buddhist, Muslim and some christian who are wearing theire Banna and even Sikhs specialy or mostly White SIkhs are wearing Banna as well.

The thing is just germans need time to understand the Sikhi and why we have to wear a Dastar and should wear a Banna. Most of the germans know even that the Sikhs are comming from India.

Once i was in the train and a small children asked her Grandmother why he is wearing a Turban. Grandma said he is from India they are all wearing Coloured Turbans. *g*

To live in Germany is quite nice. YOu have problems it's normal but it's okay with guru jis kirpa...

@Harinder SIngh ji

We allready launched Dharm Yudh in Europe currently our European website is not working www.SikhYouth.eu

but check up our german website www.SikhYouth.de

We are holding a European Sikh Youth Smagam for Gurpurb of Guru Gobind SIngh ji. It would be nice if you can come....

Gore SIkhs are comming as well...

Mfg Robin Singh

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
