From what i know of them these are some of the areas they wll be looking into.

1. University issues

2. Networking

- Get Sikh youth to network with Sikhs from around the country that they may have not met otherwise.

3. Work with other Organisations

- Sikh youth Organisations

- Panthic Organisations

- Non-Sikh Organisations

4. Sikhi workshops

- Start sikhi workshops in Gurdwara’s that don’t have any.

- Encourage young children to attend.

5. Parchar Network

- Contact Well-known Parcharik’s to attend our events.

6. Inter-Faith

- Dialogue with Inter-faith organisation about youth issues especially Sikh youth.

- Attend Inter-faith programmes.

7. National/International Events

8. Awareness of Kakkar’s in educational institutes

- Hold programmes for Educational Institutes that are unaware or show ignorance towards Sikhs.

- Support other organisations working with institutes.

9. Samagam’s

10. Help Overseas Sikh Students

- Help Sikhs from other countries that have come to study in Britain.

These are issues that need to be addressed. i personally dont see any thing wrong with a group a sikhs that are going to try and tackle some of the issues mentioned above. Personally i think more people need to make the attempt to do so.

Makes no sense to me. Why cant they just combine and :united

Or at least work under one group, but have focus groups off it.

egos and own agendas

on every side. its always the same. instead of doing whats best for the panth by following gurmat we do whats best for ourselves.

Personally i say give them a chance. they havent even done nothing yet and already were so quick to criticise.

:nishaan_sahib_right: Waheguru ji ka khalsa

Waheguru ji ki fateh

the time is to unite the people and make the existing organizations stronger and stronger. But its just spliting up the people. If one organization is dead or inactive. New people can just take over it or the core members can be changed or altered on regular basis but it should be done under the same banner and same name. making another organization is not a good idea at all.

TIME IS TO UNITE AND STAND TOGETHER. TRY TO MERGE THE EXISTING ORGANIZATIONS AND BE ONE BUT BECOME THE STRONGEST, STRONGEST AS A SIKH COMMUNITY.

BOSS is dead anyway lol. they do a camp once a year then you never hear of them again. or if some program is being organised by someone then boss just have there logo put on for the pomp

Maybe your right!

Or maybe different singhs from different seva groups engage in different seva throughout the year without anyone knowing who they are or what they do, or even who arranged the seva!! i.e with no 'pomp. And maybe most of us absolutely love these events, or things produced by these singhs .. and yet without knowing we indirectly abuse them and cuss them as well!

:)

Sometimes its better to do things without a logo/name attached. :)

Anyway an example of unity is the chaupai sahib's being done, can all the people who have commented on unity etc in this thread also comment/contribute to the chaupai sahib thread (in the important topics section at the top of the page) which is actually creating unity and work to achieve the goals there. thank you! its easy talking it, but harder walking it!

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
