Fateh Ji,

Many Sikhs do 'khulla paath' or Sehaj Paaht of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. And usually they do keep a target date by which they have to complete the Sehaj Paath.

In fact if you aks me this is the right way to do Paath of Guru Granth Sahib Ji. One can do Paath of about 3-5 pages everyday. This also give one the oppurtunity to check out the meanings. There are Steeks available that give the meanings. Once can also log on to quite a fe Sites on the Net for meanings.

baba sunder singh ji khalsa bhindranwale, who were the 11th mukhi of damdami taksaal, their father sahib, baba kajhan singh ji knew entire saroop by memory too.

im sure theres a lot of people who can do this, but nobody knows of them. they are hard to find. like trying to find a needle in the hay stack.

its truly great to know that there were gursikhs who knew how to recite guru ji's sroop off by heart.

it would be even great if today's youth/piri "generation" had the same urge and enthusiasm to try and do so, but unfortunately you see them barely being able to recite japji sahib off by heart, let alone the whole of guru ji's sroop.

Yes, very saddening. When you hear about such great Mahapurkhs, you just feel like getting up, doing ishnaan and doing Paath!!!! Inspiration!
