Miracles being preformed ?

When Guru Gobind Singh Ji left their Sareer and went to Sachkand was it not similar to the Joti Joyt of Guru Nanak Dev Ji ?

If my memory serves me correct, Guru Gobind Singh Ji told his Singhs not to look under the sheet. The Singhs had such pyaar for Guru Ji that they couldn't obey that command. When they looked under it Guru Ji was gone .

"Miracles" have happened many times throughout history. Baba Atal Rai's ithaas also tells of a "Miracle". You are right about one thing, the Gurus were opposed.

Fateh .

Azaad, I want to know if you know the history behind that flower thing.

First mention of this is found in the Vilayatwali Janamsakhi, which was written during 6th Maharaj's time (between 1600s - 1630s).

At that time there was another book which was quite known, where there was a story where it narrated how after the death Bhagat Kabir, the Hindus and Muslims also fought. The writer of the Vilayatwali Janamsakhi took inspiration from that, and wrote the same event but with Guru Sahib's deh.

The second mention is in Mani Singh Wali Janamsakhi (published in 1740, it wasn't written by Bhai Mani Singh Ji). It either took that passage from the Vilayatwali Janamsakhi or the writer made a mistake. As in Punjab, it is often said 'kisey viakti (person) de phull chugne'. Either he turned those flowers to real ones, or he took the passage from Vilayatwali Janamsakhi.

In the other historical Janamsakhis, such as Bhai Bala Janamsakhi and the Miharban Janamsakhi there is no mention of Guru Sahib's body turning into flowers.

Guru Nanak Dev Ji was cremated at Kartarpur Sahib by their son, Baba Sri Chand, in the presence of their wife, other son, Lakhmi Chand, Dharam Chand (Guru Sahib's grandson), Baba Buddha Ji and Guru Angad Dev Ji.

Sunny Veer Ji, sorry but you're wrong on this.

Please listen to the katha of Guru Nanak Dev Ji's life.......

I've seen the place where the Muslims buried the flowers and others cremated the chadar.

Are you sure Guru Angad Dev Ji was in Kartarpur at that time and not Khadur Sahib?

beantsingh - there are countless incidents where 'miracles' have been performed by Guru Sahib. These still occur today as well......

This whole thing was adapted from Bhagat Kabir Ji's death. After their death, Hindus and Muslims argued, as the Hindus wanted to cremate the body, and the Muslims bury it. That is believable since Bhagat Kabir Ji wasn't married and thus didn't have any children, who could cremate Kabir Ji.

But Guru Nanak had a wife, 2 sons and above all Bhai Lehna.

Even if the 2 sons weren't there, there still was Bhai Lehna, who got the GurGaddi. How the hell can people fight of Guru Nanak Sahib's deh, when Guru Angad is still present. If there really ever was an argument, Guru Angad would have intervened and told the people to do one particular thing.

In Punjabi culture, it is considered very bad if somebody else than ones child cremated them... And esp in ancient times...

There is no authentic source on Bhagat Kabeerji, on his life or sayings, except Guru Granth Sahib ji. About Guru Nanak, he never died. While foolish sikhs were fighting over his remains, the true Sikhs were in hazoori of Guru Nanak at Khadur Sahib. Same situation exists today. If you want to see Guru Nanak go and pay a visit to Guru Granth Sahib. Whether you are able to see him or not depends upon your piyaar and vishwas and Gurujiskirpa ofcourse!

I'm talking about Guru Sahib's Deh. What do you call authentic?

The book where that incident on Kabir Sahib is mentioned, can be found in The Dabistan: School Of Manners (1843) (english translation by David Shea)

Altho, I agree that Guru Sahib's never dies.
