It all depends on your sharda. An ardaas where you ask for forgivingness is fine, and also bow to the Gutka Sahib as a sign of respect.

I remember a Sakhi of Sant Ji. Here it is (I don't remember exactly, but this is the main thing). Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale once, accidentally, let a Gutka Sahib fall on his feet... He was really worried and disturbed for many days. He was relieved only, when he did an complete Akhand Paath Sahib by himself and asked for forgiveness to Guru Maharaj.

Wish everybody had that amount of Pyar and Sharda for Shabad Guru, instead of treating it just as a mere book.

it happened to me but i didnt do anything because it is just a phsyical book, the gurbani cannot be touched by dust nor can it fall.

Next time your father/mother fall, don't do anything since their real self is the atma. It can't be touched by dust nor can it fall.

a chardikala gurmukh who does panj piare seva was telling us that if that ever happened we should read entire gutka sahib and do ardas soon as possible after it happens
