Waheguru Ji

We would like to wish this other channel all the best

Yes there is a huge confusion over the the two channel names

The Sikh Channel http://www.thesikhchannel.com is a long term project and will be working hard to provide quality programming!

We do not want the dispute over the channel names to become a battle ground as our aim is to do prachaar, with clear aims and objectives

This is a copy of our recent press release

Firstly we would like to thank everyone for contacting us and for the overwhelming support shown, whether it has been financial, pledging their services or goodwill gestures. We are extremely encouraged with the response from the community and would like to thank everyone for the encouragement shown towards our goal.

We would like to inform everyone that a lot of work has been going on behind the scenes to try and make this vision a reality, and with Guru Sahibs kirpa we will be making some important announcements soon so watch this space.

In order to achieve our ultimate goal and one day become a dedicated, quality Sikh TV Channel we will have to take this project in realistic stages and we are extremely fortunate that a media partner has pledged their support in aiding us to establish ourselves on the Sky TV platform, The Sikh Channel team have been working hard and are extremely happy to announce that The Sikh Channel has negotiated just under 12 hours per day of quality Sikhi programming on a forthcoming satellite channel.

We are also extremely proud to announce that Sikhnet (Worlds Largest Sikh Website) have exclusively teamed up with The Sikh Channel, working together in partnership to provide outstanding exclusive programming. The growing band of supporters lends strength and depth to our campaign.

With the grace of Guru ji we are making real and tangible progress towards achieving our mission “The Sikh Channel”

Our tentative launch date for the UK Sky platform has been set for the 5th January 2010 (Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s birthday)

In the meantime please continue to support us by donating and pledging your services! Every single penny and declaration of support counts.
