Sikh Channel are doing an excellent job. I'm sure the channel is on 24/7 in many households (as at mine). To date, I have not seen any Dhadi Jathas, which would be nice to see on a regular basis as well as some live smagams and discussion/historical shows. I'm sure these will appear in due course.

Anyway its a great start. Well done!

This is the platform we have been waiting for for years. Please, lets support the Gursikhs who have taken this massive commitment on (whoever they are).

A Sikh Channel will change many peoples lives. I can see how it's changing my family's daily routine and we seem to have less reason to watch mainstream TV.

Thank you for the support :)

We will be featuring dhadhis in the near future - thats confirmed.

The Sky Guide will feature full listings and descriptions every day of what will be on once the channel is going full speed. We will also have the full schedule of Saturday available very soon on the net and on the Sky guide so watch this space.

Thanks for the good work so far!

If possible please play some videos about 1984 - there is a really good DVD called "Operation Blue Star" that is sold at the stall in Havelock Rd Gurudwara. It has hours of previously unseen footage.

Another thing that would be really good is if you show Deevans of Sant Isher Singh Rarewale - there is a series od DVDs that have been cleaned and remastered. They explain stuff very simply and can really bring listeners closer to Guru Sahib.

Diwans of Sant Ishar Singh Ji would be brilliant to show.

I would also suggest that more effort be made by gurdwaras, jathas and individuals to record stage programes to show on SIkh channel. That way we would never be short of content, and it wouldnt be the same old same old.

record kirtan, katha, dhadi, kavshri, camps, gatka, community programmes etc.

The Sikh channel is excellent.

The kathakaars in the evenings are really good especially when they talk in english also, as I am sure there are a lot of youngsters who benefit from this.

I would urge that the presenters need to be young, very articulate and are knowledgable about sikhi.

I would also urge that the kirtanees and kathakaars as asked to smile a little as they seem to be so glum, maybe it is nerves but if they smile that comes across really well.

I would love discussion programs to be up and running soon.

Maybe Question Answer sessions also.

Maybe voxpops type programs where the cameras go into town or to gurdwara and just interview random Sikhs and Sikh families just to get a feeling how our Sikhs are feeling at the moment.

i was wondering if you have had any feedback from other faiths as I am sure they must have come across the channel by now. I think our Hindu brothers only really has Asstha TV as an equivelent as most of their channels are Bollywood bakwaas, and I am sure a lot of Hindus who appreciate raag/taal would be watching as most of the kirtan is done in Raag/taal - which is really great. I was wondering how our Muslim brothers maybe feeling when we talk about all the Kurbani's by the Shaheed Singhs under Mughal rule?

Everyone I have talked to have only positive things to say about the Sikh Channel.
