Vjkkvjkf from wot ive heard Baba raam singh namdhari was a great sikh freedom fighter.

As far as i knw, He never called himself guru, but he was revered as a highly enlightened soul / mahapursh by ppl.

(so all those who have been putting down negative remarks, never cuss ppl cos u Neva knw who they

Mayb. Read 13th pauri of sukhmani sahib to see wot happens to 'sant ke nindaks')

If naamdharis did not fight for freedom, how cum sum of them were blown up by cannons and baba raam

Singh Ji themselves were exiled.also they they Neva wore or bought british goods as a way of non compliance.

To add to the list of great freedom fighters : baba gurbachan singh manochal!!

Dear oh dead. We sikhs really are a nation of muppets. We sit today as the only main religion in the entire world without a home of our own....tricked in 1947 by false promises by Nehru for autonomy in Punjab....massacred and destroyed.....up to half a million of our brightest martyred between 1984 and 1996......and yet 99% of the 'sikhs' that post on this thread talk about the British. The same British that built their roads, built their railways and went out of their way to make sure the snake that is Hinduism does not swallow up Sikhism.

Wasn't it Cynthia Mahmood who wrote that the greater Indian plan is to finish off the lively Sikhs by subduing them ? We truly have been subdued....to the point of pure muppetry.

Ever wondered maybe the supposedly "lets teach these sikhs a lesson" attitude of indian govt maybe because of the very same reason that we managed to get british to work for us by working for them ??!!

We fought on the british side in world wars and otherwise and they hired us because they sought physically fit , which most sikhs naturally happened to be !

but on the other hand , indians in general went against brits and (Subhash chandra bose) even supported japan during world war , becoz japan was englands enemy in world wars ..

maybe they had that bitterness from that moment itself .... we are trying our best to get these goray out of our land and these sikhs are fighting for them for personal benefits ..

west london singh......they might have built our roads, railways etc......but with sikhs being well versed in the art of war....don't for a second think they would have helped us if we wern't such a threat and also so handy to them....we fought 2 world wars for them remember!!

And who exactly, in this world does things for no reason at all ?

Do you ? Do you sometimes just decide to cross over to the other side of the road for no reason at all ?

They needed us...and did rather well out of the relationship.

And we needed them.......and we did even better out of the relationship.

Now tell me just one positive thats happened to us since the Indians took us over ?

I think you need to re-educate yourself, Don't know where you got your facts but Sikhs were instrumental in gaining independence.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
