i think i get addicted to sikhsangat :umm: @ . right now i am writing a paper but can't concentrate... i log out and close the window, but a few minute later, i log in again... same thing happens when i go to work... first thing is check is my emails and sikhsangat, and i can't get my work done... just two things came in my mind that i want to say, just came in my mind:

1) If we say Gangu Brahman was a Hindu, then Todar Mall was also a Hindu. But we cannot put both of these two different kinds of people in the same category. There were many Hindus who remained Hindus but loved Guru Sahiban sooooooooo much, Rabinder Nath Tagor is one of the examples.

2) Some of you who have read Bhai Rama Singh Ji's book, when he was attracted to Sikhi, he wasn't sikh at that time, he went to the Langat Hall to and heard a Sevadar cursing a woman who I think came twice to eat Langar. It really really hurt Bhai Sahib, but at the same time, a thought came in his mind, he told himself, "I have to become a Sikh of the Guru, not Sikh of a Sikh." This is the exact same situation our bhaji hajar is going through now. Do you know there is a tuk in Gurbani by Bhgat Kabir Shahib:

kabeer saachaa satgur ki-aa karai ja-o sikhaa meh chook. [1372]

MEANING:

Kabeer, what can the True Guru do, when His Sikhs are at fault?

bhul chuk di khima...

hajara, u rn't the only one who wants to leave this forum. i think i know exactly how u feel, and if it wasn't for someone very considerate, i would've probably done what you're about to do.

i don't think a lot of ppl realize that u don't have to be hindu or have hindu family to think all the hatred on this forum is insulting, degrading and shocking. i've never been so disgusted with fellow Sikhs before in my life as i was when i saw some of the comments posted on this site and now i'm shocked to see that hajara is leaving because of it, although it was an option i was considering not too long ago.

what made me change my mind is the fact that ppl who rn't enclosed in their own ideal worlds need to provide some sort of reality in this forum. but if hajara leaves, i'm probably gonna follow suit.

hajara, wherever u go, may you be happy. please don't separate yourself from Sikhi on the basis of the narrow-minded opinions of a few who aren't willing to look further than their own limitations.

Guest mehtab

veer thats a paragraph break and typo

am i expected to respond to the shyte everyday to explain that not all hindus are the damn gov or rss ? the reason you dont stop is your very insecurity

Guru Gobind Singh made the ideal man the khalsa strong enough to have no cracks in th eface of both brahminism and moghul fanaticism let alone rss .

i believe thats the actual thing hajara veer wanted to write

oh sorrry..bhul chuk muaf!:umm:

I thought he called Guru sahib insecure

As for the post I think we should follow gurbani, rather than give our own views, sometimes it takes people away from Sikhi, and puts you back into the 84 lakh joon, not looking at how much bhagti/bandgi u do..

"Avall allah noor upayeya kudrat ke sabh banday, Ek noor te sabh jag upjeya kaun bhalay ko manday||"

Bhul chuk muaf! ^_^

Hajara veer jee, I think your making a big mistake by looking at other 'Sikh's' Actions, instead of looking at what the FAITH TEACHES.

bhull chukk maaf ^_^

hajara, if you were a supporter of RSS, why do you give out such good posts on sikhi? dont take what people say about you, your not an RSS agent, nor is apna rochak (i cant believe sikhnet didnt stop that post). if you were an RSS agent you would be bad mouthing sikhi. your not doing that here.

ANYONE WHO DISSED HAJARA, YOUR SAD AND PLUS DONT BE JEALOUS OF OTHERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THOSE WHO TRY TO PUSH PEOPLE AWAY FROM SIKHI, HOW DO YOU EXPECT KHALSA RAJ? LET ALONE KHALISTAN! SHAME ON THE PEOPLE TRYING TO MAKE PEOPLE QUIT SIKHI. SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! :umm:

ITS THESE KIND OF PEOPLE WHO STOP US GOING ANY FURTHER, LIKE GETTING KHALSA RAJ.

Hajara...

"sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me"

The above quote is not from the Rehatnama or the Tankahnama of Bhai Nand Lal. I couldn't find that line in either Piara Singh Padam's Rehatname book or Bhai Nand Lal Granthavali by Ganda Singh.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
