Shaheed Bhai Kanwaljit Singh Sunam, Shaheed Bhai Harmandir Singh Dabwali and Shaheed Bhai Balkar Singh Bombay weren;t even mentioned.

The dharam yudh morcha started by Bhai Daljeet Singh Bittu and Sant Baljit Singh Daduwal was totally ignored.

These are the current issues that the panth must understand, and if we ignore them then how can we move forward?

Bhajee you raise very valid points...i think that in-order to have important issues as these raised the we probably should take it upon ourselves to get involved in the organisation of the event and then we can ensure they do.

Your points are all valid, but the people that lead soft lives outside of India dont feel the pain of the survivors of 84. The Remembrance March was not only a one off event, it circles around many other things aswell. Including Human Rights groups, Members of Parliament supporting and speaking at the event and the main campaign for completing 1mil Chaupai Sahib paaths. You need to look at the bigger picture, this event raises awareness for the average Londoner and also for Sikhs who deny 84 ever happened.

Rather than questioning people as to what they are doing about 84 and the survivors, you should ask what can I do? Lets be more proactive in campaigning and doing sewa for the 84 victims rather than criticising people efforts.

The rally was a good effort at publicising the atrocities of 84. As ever there is always more sewa to be done. If you want to do something perhaps getting in touch with Human rights groups etc would be the way forward.

And please dont criticise someone else's efforts!

Dont normally attend ( feel that rather than attend this i should attend those that the sangat know less about ie august and nov, jan) plus am always work but this year i went down, and happy and proud to say that i was supprised thought that due to the rain no- one turn up all it would be is a few singhs shouting khalsitan zindabad ( which i support) but really these slogans get nothing done. However when isaw the numbers i was shocked the number of sikhs with round paghs and the screen and organisation. really really well done.. Few things that could have been done better but hey it was good no better than that excellent.

to those who ask why... well personally these marches and these one off events as you call them are needed, they bring us togeter it showed that our paarties , jathes can work together and work as one. The point to this one is to show the world we habvent forggoten , spread the word of hipocrasy and remember those that laid down their lives over our historical past. Churchill once said to destory an nation wipe out its culture and history ... in punjab they are not educated about 84 they dont talk abnout the saheedi given by our brothers , sisters fathers, mothers, aunt, uncles, cousins etc

these programmes give an oppertunity to educate the people we live side by side with about the things /injustice that is happening to us. i sawa few reading the lefleats i saw even more following the speaches and even more standing there watching thhe screens.

Feel that rather than critising someones efforts we act ourselves.... know that if you want to be involved then you can. lets make the August (independence day ) one a bigger success

My salute to the nation built upon the foundations of the saheeds

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
