Is It Compulsary To Have Top Knot? (the Actual Top Knot Itself)

Hello,

I have seen many people in south asia, particularly Sufi muslims have their hair down and have turbans tied on top. Is it compulsory for Sikhs to have the hair in the top knot form?

If so, why?

I was reading an article by Dev Kaur Khalsa. Her 'observations':

During the day, the hair absorbs solar energy, but at night it absorbes lunar energy. Keeping the hair up during the day and down at night aids in this process. Braiding your hair down at night will help your electromagnetic field balance out from the day.

"The "Jooraa" (hair knot) should be on the centre top of the head, and a turban should be tied, the kesh should be kept covered, twice a day the hair should be combed, and the turban should be removed layer by layer."

are we those sufi muslims?? NO..... would u like to be classed as one?? NO lol

ofcourse it aint accepable! why? ..... our joora should always be on our dasam dwar and a keski/datsar should be covering this all the time.

Do you even know where your dasam dwaar is? I mean from experience, not because someone told you where it is.

Dasam dwar is the crown of the head which is same place non-sikhs believe the seventh chakra is. Many saints have stated this and daas knows its true from experience Jaap naam and find out for yourself if you don't take others word for it.

to the OP, yes, there should be a top knot at the crown of the head. Not at the back, not at the front but the centre
