This is the limit.

Sarpanch veer, I agree they were wrong while wearing Indian tops, but still these <banned word filter activated> hate us because we are Kafirs, not because we are Indian supporters or WHATEVER.

See the writing in the wall sikhs r being targeted by everybody in Ludhana village few days back a dera head forced a gursikh youth to bow before a mazar who approached the jathebandis when sikh activists went there dera heads escaped and singhs saw many amritdhari sikhs paying homage to mazar then dera head openly dared sikhs to stop his anti sikh activities. That dera head is not as powerful as sirsa dera. In punjab u can come accross sikh youths being beatenup by poorbias. This is because of sikhs r more interested in luxury cars, dowry items etc. Those tring to maintain real sikh cultures of learning martial arts, shooting ,milatary knowldge r looked down upon. Unless we revert back to milatary culture I will not be surprised in future sikhs being killed like goats will be common sight. It is essential to think of ur carreer but if u r not safe then everything will be useless.

ok that is really silly saying they deserved to get beat up or humiliated because they wore indian shirts, regardless of what country they support they were treated in a barbaric way and something needs to be done. i am anti-hindustan but that was really mean it reminds me of when the moghuls used to terrorise the hindus back in guru sahibs days and the sikh warriors used to come and save them.

Fateh!

How can a Sikh watch another Sikh's dastaar being disrespected without acting? How can a Sikh watch another Sikh being attacked without coming to his defence?

On a personal level, one should sit down and decide in advance what action one would take in such circumstances so that one acts with firm conviction at the time. This doesn't mean that you must fight a gang of cowards by yourself, it could just mean that you will find a safe place and call the police and then tell the gang (from a safe distance) that the police are on the way.

It is a good idea also to sit down with one's family and friends to come to an agreement about what one should do when faced with these kind of situations, before they actually occur, so that there is no indecision or hesitation when they happen.

If, as in the case of the OP, you are with older or vulnerable family members, agree beforehand that they should leave and either go home or to a nearby safeplace so that you do not have to worry about them. It's essential that they are able to act quickly without spending precious time thinking about whether they should stay and help.

If your more vulnerable family members or friends have previously come to the decision that they will become involved also, decide how to best go about this without getting in each others' way. For example, in the situation described by the OP, the grandfather could have left to find a policeman (cops will act a little faster if you tell them that you think someone has been stabbed), while the OP engaged the crowd in conversation.

If you think you would engage physically in such circumstances, you had better be prepared mentally and physically beforehand, because the chaos of real physical combat is not the place to learn whether you have the guts to hurt/mutilate/kill someone or whether you can take a punch.

Regards,

K.

 Indian Aunty to the rescue!

Sounds like the 'Indian Sikhs' there are just as pathetic as the majority of so called 'Sikhs' everywhere else especially good ole' Hindustan. Where's the 'Khanda bad boys' when you need em eh? Probably at the same bar getting drinks like Mr I Love India and Beer berry much 'Sengh' after his got spilt on his head, lol... :p !

'Indian Sikhs' represent your great country with even more pride next time and hand them the flag to stick down you're throats and choke you lot to Indian heaven, lol... :D will save the Sikh haters in your beloved India a lot of trouble in the future.

Bunch of pyjama's! :p

People like Matheen and Sarpanch are the type that allow this stuff to propagate....instead of seeing that a crime was committed and that that it is simply wrong! they try to justify it by putting in pointless stuff, "he's wearing an indian jersey or drinking beer, so he deserves it" ....how old r u guyz? cuz outside of ur little fairy tale lives, theres a real world where the simple fact is that would the pakis did was wrong!

Dear all,

the problem has been highlighted already - Muslim Unity/extremism/violence/hatred/large numbers. These muslims are getting out of order in every part of our lives, be it at schools, colleges, universities, our homes, our nagar kirtans and now cricket matches. Its the hatred thatthey have for other communities especially sikhs. There are no sikh forces in the Uk who can deal with this problem, sadly.

sikhs will always get beatings, face it, we are being brought up as softies. Forget about sikh unit, its not going to happen - especially in the UK.....
