WEST BROMWICH, UK (KP)--In a crucial meeting held on June 19 to resolve the recently erupted issues, the Federation of Sikh Organisations (UK) and Sri Ravidas Sabha (UK) passed a resolution to not allow third parties to interfere and cause further tensions between members of the two committees. The meeting was held to discuss the aftermath of the Vienna shooting, especially the recently held anti-Sikh protest march in London.

Several resolutions that were passed at the meeting included:

1) Ensure reverence and proper regard for saroops of Guru Granth Sahib at all Bhagat Ravidaas places of worship based throughout Europe.

2) Both organisations expressed sorrow over the Vienna incident and the aftermath of it in Punjab.

3) Both communities will remain united based on the brotherhood preached by Guru Granth Sahib Ji’s bani.

4) Neither organisation will allow backlash or any aggression towards the other.

5) All temples of Sri Ravidas Sabha will continue doing parkash of Guru Granth Sahib and ensure proper maryada while disallowing any human-being to sit on parallel to Guru Granth sahib.

6) Sri Ravidas Sabha alleged that it has full respect for all five kakkars of the Sikh Community and at no time has it called for a ban on any article of faith of the Sikhs.*

*Members of Sri Ravidas Sabha made it clear that the slogans or placards seen during the protest were not placed by the organising committee. These placards were placed by third party individuals not affiliated with the Sabha.

The meeting that was organized was a crucial one and the first time followers of Bhagat Ravidaas and members of the Sikh Community sat down and discussed the differences that arose after the Vienna incident. It should be noted that the Sri Ravidas Sabha is a unanimous organisation in control of all temples of Bhagat Ravidas Ji based throughout the UK, while the Federation of Sikh Organisations includes members of prominent Sikh organizations based in the UK.

Very Good News

as brothers & sisters we should take more steps together in future to challenge those who take advantage of us all by creating controversies for their own personal gain. this small minority 3rd group who wish to exploit people and create divisions by behaving contrary to the teachings of Bhagat Ravidas Ji & Guru Nanak Ji we must challenge them & vote them out at any elections and not allow them to spread their hatred.

we should stop following & bowing to flawed selfish human beings and respect Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Well done to Federation of Sikh Organisations (UK) and Sri Ravidas Sabha (UK) and all congratulations and love to all mankind.

thats good

just as i had said before, the ppl causing the ruckus in india or wherever could not have been followers of bhagat ravidass ji, did bhagat ravidaas ji tell them to burn what form they reside in ( sri guru granth sahib ji)?

this was handled wonderfully and it shows ppl trying to take advantage of these kinds of situations to tear apart the sikhs that really we arent that dumb, rather they are stupid for even trying

Nobody even cares about this UK sabha in Ravidassia community. They are bunch of self serving individuals who don't have any support in Ravidassi community. What they tell Ravidassi world, doesn't even get noticed. All these people are good for is issuinh such useless statements. They don't have any social standing either.

They change colors like chameleons. When ravidassi brotherhood twisted their arms, they complained about sikh knives and when Sikhs twisted their arms, they come in favor of it.

Good, be joyous but it amounts to nothing.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
