 didn't know it was the anniversary... but thanks :p

A little bit more info here in the converts to Sikhi section: http://www.muslim2sikh.co.nr/

Leeds, Alia Kaur is the sister of 7/7 London suicide

bomber Hasib Hussain. Kaur embraced the

Sikh way of life in the late 1990s. Her strict Muslim

family disowned her after discovering about

her conversion.

N those who hate 'Muslae' here, the list is to long to mention any names, :D ... you may take some pleasure in reading the replies from 'Muslim' girls dating 'Sikh' guys at the bottom...

Yes she was muslim and converted for love for the Sikh guy back in 90s even though she converted for love it is said to be a firm believer in Sikhism. I have a female friend who was a british muslim who also converted to Sikhism after marrying a Sikh guy, so its not rare as it used to be, some muslim women are not dumb they can see fit which spiritual way of life is best for them.

As for apnepart2's allegation of whinning, well if you were a sikh you would know that sikhism isnt seen as a missionary faith, and our demographic population is lower than say christians or muslims so if girls from sikh familys go outside they faith they contribute nothing but negative loss to Sikhism's future whereas if a muslim girl leaves islam for Sikhism ... islam has 1.2billion adherants around the world with 32 muslim nations so is no loss to them they breed more than any other religious group to increase their numbers so that demographics change and their majority rules. This is why... it is esstional for survival of other faiths, particular ours that our people are steadfast and firm in our faith and welcome others may wish to join us if they that way inclined but we dont go out of our way to convert people to get "brownie points" rewards in jannah from allah for converting the "dirty kafir" to our way of life.

Date whoever you want... Just make sure your views, beliefs, feelings and understandings etc are mutual.

That doesn't you should change your religious beliefs, practices etc for love.

the love for Guru ji/God should come before anything.

Find what you want to achieve spiritually, through your religion etc..

Do not blindly follow what you think may be your 'heart', but instead is probably your conscience playing tricks on you because of your feelings.

Just don't be tricked by several methods used by Muslims to convert you. They are all lies, but they say it in ways that will make feel a second opinion.

For example: 'You were born a Muslim. You should convert back.' (untrue)

'The entire population of the world will be Islamic. It is said so by God.' (untrue)

etc...

We need to realize what Sikhi offers us, compared to what the person offers.

For Amrit-dharis, it would OBVIOUSLY be senseless to choose someone who was not Amrit-dhari.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
