What Does Khalistan Mean To You

Recommended Posts

to me khalistan is not something political or something that you can see with a map. to me it would be an envirnment of gursikhs where the world revolves around sikhi and guru ji. where people instead of alking about the latest music video are talking about the latest bhai nirmal singh nagpuri shabad (Deva Pahan is the his shabad that i've been hooked on for the last few days). it would be a place where people aren't focusing about money and girls all the time. imagine your city being like this. that is what khalistan is to me.

If it's a place, then you can see it with a map. Maybe you meant to say that this place would not have borders. So you are saying Khalistan will be a single nation across the entire world.

Fair enough as long as Khalistan's domination by definition of the word would be consistent with sikhi....a domination of respect and love for all human kind and equality for all faiths and paths and nation states under its banner.

Think for yourself so you can think of others.

it is an idea, a perfect concept which will only be realised when Vaheguru Ji himself comes down, as written in Karninama and Rajnama.

any "Khalistan" that will be attained before that time will be biased, corrupt and a failure, because right now, we do not have anyone who is able to run it.

it is like the Sakhi of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, when he tells the people of a village who treated Him and Bhai Mardana with respect and hospitality, to diperse and spread, so that their goodness can encompass the whole world.

Khalistan is what we all want...but not what we actually need...

Khalistan is the solution to all the problems of the Sikh Nation, Khalistan will be a sovreign independent state - Sikh Homeland.Raj Bina Na Dharam Chale Dharam Bina Sabh Dalai Malai,we need raj for Sikhism to survive personally I don't believe in the raj nama or karni nama and i reject them due to Sikhs not believeing in prophicies and due to the very un Sikh language they speak in.

Waheguru is already here and does not need to come 'down'.Khalistan is a must for Sikh to survive ,eg Sikh issues can be dealt with in EU/America and other places by pressure from the Khalistan Govt we will have a world voice on a world stage, our waters will be protected our shrines and so will our Sikh Qoum be secure in a homeland.

Khalistan - nothing less than that

these arent just prophacies, these are the truth. for example in chaubis avtar, there is kalki avtar, who is still to come. now is that a prophacy or truth to come?

Guru Gobind Singh Ji siad that a time will come when His "sikh" wil no longer believe His words and Hukam. and we can see that happening around us in the world.

in rajnama and karninama, Guru Nanak Dev Ji says that He will come in His tenth form and be known as Gobind, and we will establish the Khalsa Panth. and this all happened.

what are your view on this please?

Vaheguru Ji is already here, in both Nirgun and Sargun (Guru Granth Sahib Ji + Khalsa Panth), so he can't come down when he is already here! Of course we need Khalistan, Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj in his 52 hukams has told us to rule independently, and by sending Baba Banda Singh Ji the hukam of Khalsa Raj has already been given by Guru Sahib, just because we lost it once, doesn't mean the order has changed. And before that how many towns did Guru Mahraj establish? Proof enough that Sikhs are meant to have autonomy. Though I do agree it will not be a normal nation, but a spiritual Khalsa Raj instead.

My own views: http://www.sikhsangat.com/index.php?showtopic=36902&hl= MUST READ for all.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
