Fateh JI, please forgive dass for his stupidity but are naam dhrir and swaas swaas simran the same thing?

And when taking amrit, do all panj pyare give naam dhrir?

or do only those in the akj jatha do that?

lastly how do you ask for naam dhrir?

All Panj Pyarae teach Abhilaakhis how to Jup and DriR Naam. Maharaaj Jee blesses Abhilaakhis with Naam. Naam is not restricted only to AKJ. The daat of Naam resides with Guru-Roop Panj Pyarae, who are Tyaar-Bar-Tyaar Singhs. If you want the daat of Naam, beg before Maharaaj Jee to give you the gift of Amrit Naam.

Im glad you have pointed out that Naam Drir can only be given by Guru- Roop Panj Pyaarey, and mentioning this techinique is not restricted only to AKJ. This is so true. There are other Gupt groups that do Panj Pyaarey Seva and give Naam Drir. AKJ happens to be the group that are more publically known for this.

gurfateh jio.

naam dhrir and swaas swaas simran are two different things.

swas swas simran is the technique which you are taught for japping waheguru gurmantar. an individual could quite easily just search the internet and find this bidh for naam japna, or even by sitting with gursikhs who are doing simran and just watch them and then imitate. however, it will not flow naturally within you or be automatic unless you receive amrit and the panj piaareh give you naam dhrir. dhrir literally means "making firm" or "churning". amrit and naam lie within us all, but to make it pargaas we need the external amrit and naam which we get when we go to an amrit sanchaar. hope that helps slightly.

And when taking amrit, do all panj pyare give naam dhrir?

no

or do only those in the akj jatha do that?

no, there are other amrit sanchars where naam dhrir is given eg bebe nanaki

lastly how do you ask for naam dhrir?

you would need to check beforehand, as not all amrit sanchars give naam dhrir. it is not possible to walk in and just request it, they either give it or they dont.

not everyone is going to agree with this post. i know people are divided on this issue, so im not really going to check this topic again. bhul chuk maaf jio, dhan guru dhan guru piaareh!

Mod Note: You should have gotten your answer now. If not please do a search, topic has been discussed before.
