Awwww You Are So Sweet!

I wish I could myself follow these precious words of Gurbani as at times I do speak harshly. May Gurujee do kirpa!

eik fikaa n gaalaae sabhanaa mai sachaa dhhanee ||

Do not utter even a single harsh word; your True Lord and Master abides in all.

ihAwau n kYhI Twih mwxk sB Amolvy ]129]

hiaao n kaihee t(h)aahi maanak sabh amolavae ||129||

Do not break anyone's heart; these are all priceless jewels. ||129||

sabhanaa man maanik t(h)aahan mool machaa(n)gavaa ||

The minds of all are like precious jewels; to harm them is not good at all.

If you desire your Beloved, then do not break anyone's heart. ||130||

Thats exactly what I meant, not to hurt anyone with bitter words. Unfortunately its hard at times, but Gurujee never made any excuses inspite of all that happened. They still spoke softly and compassionately.

My Dear Lord and Master, my Friend, speaks so sweetly.

I have grown weary of testing Him, but still, He never speaks harshly to me.

He does not know any bitter words; the Perfect Lord God does not even consider my faults and demerits.

Here Gurbani makes it even more clear, that speaking softly/gently is Vaheguru's own quality. Many of us (not all) cannot communicate for too long with a person who can't speak properly, i.e. politely and with respect. But see the beauty of Vaheguru, even if we supposedly "test" Him, He doesn't lose His patience. He never speaks bitterly/harshly, yet those like me who claim to be "Gursikhs" don't even know what it is to speak with love.

May Gurujee bless all of us to utter words filled with love, no matter what the world throws at us. Remember, if you throw love back, it comes back at you 100 times over.
