this tilak of CHANDAN not of red tika

read or listen the GURU PRATAP SURAJ GRANTH in which from 1 guru to guru granth sahib life story is there. In which clearly written every Guru ji give annointment at the time of guruta gaddi to every guru at the time of gurta gaddi . one of u sad that we have no power like BABA BUDHA JI to give tilak to GURUMAHARJI than why we take HUKUMNAMA , DOING SEVA OF CHAWAR , Bcause we r not BABA BUDHA JI to take HUkumnama or do chawar to guru maharaj .

SO you are saying Guru Granth Sahib was not Guru until this day(in the video) SO the tilak was as history tells applied when given Guruship, so Guru Gobind Singh didnt give Guruship to Guru Granth Sahib but waited for some stooge to apply tilak 300 years later?????????????? History says "apon being given Guruship" but did Guru Gobind Singh desecrate Guru Granth Sahib by giving tilak?????? Would he have not given the mark on the outside of the Guru Granth(if he even did give tilak to Shabad Guru, five paise and coconut laid in front was told by history but not about tilak. The Palki Sahib is Guru Granth Sahibs Kalgi.

A few main points to shout out about this 1) You cant take off the rumala of Guru Granth Sahib and not be reciting(You cant open Guru Granth Sahib up just to stare at the angs like a stooge) 2) Many stooges are walking up and applying tilak like they have authority over Guru Sahib needing tilak.(Many people you can see asking to apply and laughing it off when they are ignored) 3) The supposed "panj pyare" are not doing anything but allowing beeaadbi to happen(They should be the first swinging SriSahibs and protecting Shabad guru Sahib. 4) People are writing "over the Gurubani" the ink on the Ang is the only thing needed to be written and they are writing their "ik oankar' "over the already established Gurubani" 5) OMG I cant understand how STUPID/DUMB a huge group of people can be(Im not calling them Sadh Sanhgat cause they are not if they can allow beeaadbi and then shout bole so nihal) 6) Upon given Gurugaddi the presiding Guru didnt pour a pile of coconuts and give any amount of money other than the five paise.(Guru Teg Bahadar was specific with being give 5 paise no more no less)

People in the video need to be smacked and applied tilak on their eyeballs with crushed kalunji pepper :wacko:

The only thing I thought was kewl was the SadhuJi with a Turban on(It suits him rather than dreadlocks openly visible)

There are some extreme missionary thinking Sikhs who are denying Guru sahibs ever had tilak in the Guru initiation ceremonies. Then we apparently have some Sikhs who think we're suppose to annoint Guru Sahib as a routine thing. The middle way is to recognise that Guru Sahib (human form) were annointed, but that doesn't need to be (and shouldn't be) done by us.

The mukhvak taken by Baba Budha Ji wasn't related to Gurgaddi ceremony. Mukhvak was taken by Baba Budha ji when Guru Arjan Dev Ji's compilation of Gurbani (excluding M. 9) was complete, not in connection with Gurgaddi (which was done by Guru Gobind Singh ji). Receiving mukhvak (it's actually wrong to say "take" like I did above) is like requesting an answer to a question, which a Sikh can do with his Guru. Chaur is done by a lower person to a higher person.

Annointment, however, is done by a higher authority. Baba Budha ji didn't annoint Guru Nanak Dev ji, but did so for subsequent Gurus on Guru ji's command.

Think about it. There are things that a Sikh does to his Guru (matha tek), there are things that a Guru does to his Sikh (like laying of hands upon the head), there are things that were done once (like annointment), there are other things that are done daily (like mukhvak). We need to recognise the difference.

What does it even mean to think we can annoint (apply tilak to) our Guru?

if this is the case then very first brhamin in sikh dharma was baba budha ji who gave tilak to guru angad dev ji ...

Jassa vir, no one (apart from some missionaries) are disputing the annointment of our (human form) Gurus in the Gurgaddi ceremonies by exalted souls such as Baba Budha ji.

The question is about us thinking we can or should annoint pothi-avtar Guru Granth Sahib ji, as Guru Sahib already holds the Gurgaddi.

It would sort of be like saying we need to submerge Guru Granth Sahib ji in the Bein river because Guru Nanak Dev ji was also.
