I am thinking about starting a local online directory website with other sub sites. But I need help with deciding if I should get a dedicated server or just hosting?and also I have some other questions if someone is willing to help me please PM me. I have a real good business idea where I live and I wouldnt mind sharing that idea with others who are interested.

I don't know about the rest of your post, but I can advise you regarding hosting.

You do not need to get a dedicated server unless you have serious particular needs.

Any basic shared hosting will be more than adequate for you.

you should totally host your site on someone's server cuz its cheap and easy.

try Hostmonster.com, Hostgator.com, or smallbusiness.yahoo.com

i would perfer hostmonster.com
