Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

Can anyone please tell me the order of Bani's taught in Santhiya(preferrebly by Taksaal)?

The santhiya starts with the penti akhar, mahaarni and then moves to Japji Sahib and the other nitnem banis, however I am slightly confused with which Bani's are in the panj granthi, das granthi and which follow.

fateh jee, panj granthi is: dakhni oankaar, sidh gost, bavan akhri, sukhmani sahib, asaa di vaar. Hope tht helps

I have heard that Katha vachaks do research and learn about other faiths and their granths for exxample iv heard of a new kathavachak who learned about geeta, and if u hear Sant Maskeen jis katha he talks alot about toher religions and how sikhi is different, it is not a 'sin' to learn about other relgions

Katha santhia is also taught, suraj parkaash granth, janam sakhian etc. usually nowadays unfortunately before dasam granth, only because dasam granth can be difficult to read - and especially to understand, so katha from suraj prakash granth can help with this.

and yes, if you know what other religions say then you have the knowledge to form an argument against it. then you know where they are going wrong or you can show why sikhi was is better.

we should learn about other faiths as it keeps us from being a bigot or an uneducated debater when people of other faiths ask sinsere questions etc...

Some people must feel insecure about their faith to not want to learn or talk about others faiths etc....??

For a good self santhiya get a dictionary of Guru Granth Sahib and after understanding to way Bani is formatted youll start to hear the bani in which your mind can comprehend.

Ask your Gurdwara to setup a Santhiya class, so you dont have to biasly need only taksali santhiya (like if others dont know santhiya etc)

bhai sahib - this is from the book 'sankhep itihaas damdami taksal' written by didar singh Published by dam dami taksal itself. When learning katha etc it is important to learn vedaant along with other pothia. ajj kal katha vaachiks dont know the basics thats why they dont really effect teh sangat with their vichaar. if you look at maskeen jee, taksal kathavaachiks , nirmale sadhus, there katha has a large effect on sangat because of the fact they didnt stay narrow minded and studied evrything they could find 2 broaden tehir giaan, it is not a 'paap' (LOL) as many people see to read puratan granths on rajneetee,vedant. the whole point of a taksal is 2 mint a coin, and the point of sikh taksaals are 2 create a shudh coin from nothing...and in such cases you can't be narrow minded
