1. Most people on this forum hate India to death and support Khalistan, therefore you should not be concerned about India's future, political or economical. Then why even bother who the next prime minister is going to be when you don't even want to be acknowledged as someone from that country?

Khalistan is a state run by the Khalsa, with Khalsa ideals. If Dr. Manmohan Singh brings that to "India" won't we have our Khalistan?

2. The political party that has come to power is the same Congress which is responsible for Operation Bluestar, the Delhi killings, disappearances, human rights violations, fake encounters and what not. Now since it has come to power, what good can you expect it to do?

It is not the party which matters. Party is a name only. It is the leader who will bring forth change, implement and propose laws, policies, etc. It is the leader who can bring justice for us Sikhs and help for those who need it.

3. It does not matter whom you support. Both Congress and BJP (and its band of Hindutva supporting groups) are no good for Sikhs or any Indian for that matter. And since the political parties who claim to represent Sikhs are probably worse than anyone else (as you already know), what is the point raising a cry sitting over here thousands of miles far away from where everything is a pre planned dirty political game?

But at least Sikh interests will be protected with a Singh at the Helm

4. How is anything going to change your daily life over here in the west?

I won't feel shame to call myself an Indian for the first time in my life

I don't know and didn't hear/read/come across anything about Manmohan Singh standing by Indira Gandhi when she ordered Operation Bluestar. So I'd say thats lack of info/knowledge on my part.
