Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ke Fatteh

People may think i am on about the donations, but its the whole structure of the show. When Sikh Channel first started out, it was fresh, Young Sikh Naujwan taking part in katha, kirtan but lately it is becoming very predictable. They have discussions and to be honest i just get lost halfway through as it's completely random whereas before it was on specific topic areas. The whole channel just feels very commitee like, some old Singhs pulling the strings from the top, I used to like Bhai Manvir's Singhs katha and he's just disappeared. Does anyone feel the same?

The Sikh Channel is about appeal for donations but i am sure the companies owned by the Bal brothers ( Claim Today etc etec ) dont pay for the adverts. The quality should have improved by now, especially as they have been funded by the Sangat very generously. If the money is not spent on programming then where is it going ???

totally agree, i have emailed them several times to show

sant isher singh jee rara sahib vaalehs divaan - prime time

sant waryaam singh jee divaans

1984 videos prime time

sant jarnail singh jees katha

They have never got back to me

instead they show bangla sahib - issues is the katha vaachicks very oftenly say dodgy stuff - they are mainly students of missionary college background and are brilliant at confusing the sangat... and have made dodgy comments a few times, 2ndly they show that gurmat lectures, likewise the person is very confusing and dsnt add up half the time, once he was saying only read three bania, next e was speking bout a argument with sant jarnail singh bhindranvale.

The channel proclaims to be of the sangats - and a public interest company or something - if thats the case then put on what the sangat wants... and not the same old bla bla bla faces, chatting the same old ..... Its not even interesting anymore, at least if they play katha of mahapurkhs (puratan ones) then people will listen and will get gyaan, instead of random so called sikh personalities who dont even practice sikhi

I think the level of programmes are satisfactory! You can't meet all specific viewer requirements 100% but can reach a wider audience on a more mainstream platform.

Everyone has their bias on parcharaks from the pro-babay, the anti-babay, the taksali, the akj, the missionaries, the Sikh Channel or any Gurdwara committee can't be seen to favour or discriminate. They do however, I believe, provide a fairly balanced viewpoint on Sikhi and Sikh issues.
